You can visit the exterior of the Sanctum again, after Barateons attack and you can get a dog.

Changelogs
Version 3.2
If the player doesn't go back to the Sanctum, the soldiers should be disabled again (MQ19 done) and the quest about the Aeterna shouldn't start at all (as there won't be a way to complete it then).
Version 3.1
So I finally understood why some actors "visually" despawn, but are still there as of being persistent references. They are not set as quest object. In that case they wouldn't despawn. Big thanks to greyday01 for pointing me into the right direction for understanding this engine behavior. However, as setting the base of the NPCs as "quest item" doesn't magically fix the issue of not visible corpses, if the mod wasn't active when the cell got visited first. So this should rather be changed in the base to work for everyone, which probably won't happen. So, I sticked to my initial script fix as that one also works if the mod just got activated. :)
The dead juggler on the other side is defined as "Quest Item" in the Nehrim.esm. So that one doesn't require my workaround. Therefore I removed him from that and rather added a "Disable" function at the right circumstances. Otherwise that corpse stays forever visibly in the game.
Version 3.0
WARNING! If you update from the old "Nehrim - Sanktum devastated.esp" it may happen you run into issues. At least I had them, yet I don't plan to start a new game just for this mod. ^^ I continue my current game and check if the issues solve themselves, which would mean that remnants of the previous ESP are gone.
Aside of having a "destroyed" Sanctum, you get a fully functional back. All interiors contain NPCs again, which take over the function of the previous NPCs.
Currently no exterior NPCs (yet some of the interior NPCs have exterior tasks).
Fluffy the dog receives now +1 meat when he kills something. So aside of you feeding him, he will level by himself.
ACHTUNG!
Version 2.6
If doing Dura's quest, you still can enter the cave with the Goblins and kill them. By doing so, the dam will never be removed, even if Erik seems to be very interested in it. I'll add that code segment rather into the unofficial fixes than here.
Version 2.5
As I finally arrived at the point where you break out of the prison and walk up to the Sanctum, I realized that the activation of the soldiers doesn't always work that nice. So I've added their activation into the script of the boss himself. Of course with the necessary conditions regarding quest progress in MQ08 and GetDead. The whole process will only run once.
Version 2.4
It's basically useless, but behind the locked door was a static door without collision. So if a player unlocked it, he / she would have been able to fall through the building texture. XD Even though unlock would only work with console, so TCL is either a thing. Therefore this is actually useless. ^^ But for sure, I'll honor the original. ;)
Version 2.3
I just removed 2 script entries in the Event03TrigBox01Script. As these have been already performed in the result script of NQ14 quest stage 5. The engine doesn't mind doing the same thing twice, as firing the "Disable"-function on already disabled stuff or "Enable"-function on already enabled stuff doesn't break the game. But it's still a useless command, so I removed the double.
Version 2.2
If you activated the mod late in the game, you were able to access the Sanctum, but the visuals of the magic barrier where still present. They disable themselves now.
I've fixed and added an unused sidequest called "Layers or judge?". It was fully translated, so there wasn't basically much to do. :)
Version 2.0
Finally made an english version out of it. Beside of the 2 base game scripts, no other base game content is touched in the mod as all changes come through a script. No World Space recrods of Nehrim.esm" are touched. So this mod is as clean to use as possible.

WARNING: This mod permanently changes the game world! This mod was specially made for the Steam-version.
Story: This is a direct transfer of a function by a mod called Nehrim Expanded, which was written by Tealor Arantheal and our old mentor AltDunmer. I am not sure if this function wasn't just written by Tealor Arantheal, as my mentor left the project at some point. Whatever, I've used the savegames of a Nehrim tester, which were brought to me by Hoxyd and the results were perfectly fine. :)
Compatibility: The following scripts of the base game had to be changed! MQ08BarriereScript and SanktumRemovePlayerTrigBoxScript. As of adding an unused side quest back into the game, I had to change the quest logs of NQ14 and the scripts Event03TrigBox01Script, NQ14NotizenGauklerScript, NQ14ArdonScript. Mods that alter these entries might be not compatible!
Features:
It can be activated at any time, without any worries.
The destruction of the Sanctum will only be executed after reaching a specific quest progress in the main quest (after Barateons attack).
It adjusts the exterior of the Sanctum permanently to resemble the Sanctum's battleground (which is a different worldspace).
The exterior can be visited again and the magic barrier is gone.
Interiors cannot be accessed anymore.
You can take "Fluffy" the dog for a walk.
In the exterior of the Sanctum, there will be a few objects changed or disabled, but not deleted.
As later, the Sanctum will be reopened and it will look the same as before, just with some new NPCs that took over the roles of the previous ones. :P
This mod should not be deactivated after use, as specific changes on the world space will be saved into the savegame. If the mod gets deactivated these changes don't get reverted, but aspects of this mod will disappear. Which will leave a questionable look probably.
