I'm new to this but i tested it out (all custom cars from vol. 6 are unlocked) and it works :)
Common issue:
After getting the cars you want you stuck at loading screen leaving the garage
-> just restart the game without the mod and it works fine / bought cars are saved
couldn't test it with the normal cars because i already unlocked them
if it is locked i could look at it

Added Cosmetic unlocks (Vanity stuff and rims) - i tested around and only got them temporary unlocked (as long the mod is active)
but i found out, if you bought some of the stuff, like a legendary horn from the market for ex. it gets perm unlocked after you restart the game without the mod (not all items)
