CC2 nerfed the amount of Ryou you obtain for winning a battle to what in my opinion are stupidly low levels.
The realization of how absurd the nerf was hit me yesterday, after seeing that the most I got for completing a few of the History mode chapters (not individual nodes, but entire chapters.) was something around 15k Ryou, which is just enough to buy 1 single basic costume or color preset.
For reference, I did a quick test and it seems that a Free Battle set to Super Hard difficulty cleared with an S Rank gives around 230-250 Ryou. That translates to 40-43 battles in order to buy 1 of the cheapest costumes or color presets available such as the warrior costume for Sakura. That's just downright insane.
It would be nice if each S Rank battle gave at least something close to 2000 Ryou. That would keep intact the concept of having to work to unlock the costumes while making it a bit more palatable.
(Note: I'm personally not willing to use Cheat Engine or any equivalent software. That just kills my fun.)

As I also explained there, bumping the amount of Ryou obtained to something like 2k guarantees that a person would still need to play the game quite a lot in order to unlock every item obtainable in the Collection menu, it just makes the grinding a bit more palatable as you'll be able to unlock new costumes, color palettes or accessories to use along the way.
