It is a pity that during the "fishing" the timer stops dead, how many fish would not be caught. In normal fishing, if a fish is hooked, then 5 game minutes pass. I have already caught a lot of fish, and the timer has not moved. I don't know about the others, but it bothers me a little, because if you suddenly need to pass the time for some reason, for example, then fishing in this case will not work
I'm not even going to download the mod (because I actually enjoy the fishing minigame), but I had to swing by the comments to congratulate you on the idea. I hadn't thought about this sketch in well over 30 years, and I'm cracking up watching the video of how the mod works.
This is one of the most ridiculously awesome and awesomely ridiculous mods I've ever run across; I absolutely love it.
Other than the known "no rod equipped" crash, I could only wish it had a toggle for normal fishing (or a separate action button, I don't know how complex modding Portia can be). Disabling in UMM merely results in fishing being impossible (You need bait... What? 728 caterpillars ain't enough?).
Regardless, I will probably only ever play with this mod installed; it's friggin' hilarious!
Oh my word, I just saw this and went, "Yeah, what's he gonna do, stand on the bank and...." and that's EXACTLY what it is! I LOL which is something I seldom do. I've got to try this now.

I got this installed with "Just Some Cheat mods" and all appears OK. Just remember to equip your fishing rod BEFORE starting to fish or the dreaded error pop up will appear. I see this reported in the Bugs tab as well.
