This alternate full install cuts in half all renown gains to extend the mid-game, and allows you to edit lord equipment through a dialogue option (which I'd recommend you only use to do roleplaying appropriate things, like give gifts to lords you like)

This is an alternate full-install that slows down player renown gains for added challenge. I personally like this version, as it extends the early and mid game, but I think my tastes are idiosyncratic in this regard.

This is an alternate version for greater challenge. Renown gains are decreased by 50%, and a slight disadvantage to the player in ship speed is restored (can be overcome easily with sailor units like norse or high navigation)

Mainly posting this early for Ryantheskinny, who is working on a huge mod expanding the map over all of Europe. -
This will likely become the final release, provided no one finds any problems in the next week or so.
Updated to latest VC version changes, and a lot of other tweaks as well. See Taleworlds thread for full details -
Beta for 9.0. Includes editing lord equipment conversation option--consider it a cheat to do so unless giving them better. NOT compatible with most optional add-ons. See README file for complete description--essential that you read it before installing.

This optional add on will very slightly tweak the values of some swords, making the high-end swords all offer different strategic trade-offs, rather than there being a clear "best" among them, while making a logical relationship between length and speed
-
With this optional add-on, Companions will still complain about each other, but their morale should recover very quickly, to the point where they stay permanently happy.
Made this due to a request--I have NOT tested it. Let me know if any problems arise -

This is Philippe_at_bay's Dark Age Village Name mod (modified for compatibility with latest version of VC and Balance Mod).
This optional add-on changes village names based on his original research and Brytenwalda names. -
Only install this if you don't like the (near) certain ship capture, and prefer default 10% chance. Just copy the included text file into your VC folder AFTER doing a 4.1 full install
Not needed with module install
No changes between 3.0 and 4.1 -
This will replace Philippe at Bay's Dark Age village names with Vanilla VC village names. Has no effect on current saves, village names are set at world generation.
