The minor faction troops are now recruitable : Improved Minor Factions

Overview

Realm Divided is a map overhaul that expands on Kingdoms of Calradia (my other) mod by introducing 2 new cultures : Darshi and Geroia.
The cultures are created with care and attention so as to not contradict the established game lore. Although I had to expand on the lore myself a lot since TW has left us in the dark as to who those cultures really are. Also beautifies the overall look of the map by adding cultural places like the Great Pyramids of Asera, Sanala Lighthouse, Varcheg passage etc. etc. The mod like KoC also divides the factions.

The aim is to expand Bannerlord in a way that makes sense, easy to play, and looks and plays like Native game. So, no unit bloats, no hard to memorize town/npc names. No unit names in foreign languages, no hard to distinguish banner designs etc.

So what features does the mod have?

Divided factions
-Vlandia-Svadia
-Battania-Midlands
-Sturgia-Vaegir
-Khuzait-Khergit
-Aserai-Sarran
-Two New Cultures
-Custom starting locations for all cultures
-Custom character creations
-Custom dialogues for all important characters
-New troops for new cultures
-Many new mercenary clans
-Many new faction clans
-Beautified map with much care to attention to detail.
-Culture specific locations like the pyramids etc that give influence boost upon capturing the bound settlements.
-Reworked NPC appearances so that they have their cultural traits.
-And some other things I forgot.

Geroia
Geroia was supposed to be in the east behind the Khergit mountains, roughly where the Southern Empire is. However with Bannerlord and its expanded map, we still did not get Geroia and the dialogues still say it is further east. But we also know to the further east there are nomadic tribes and the Darshi. So I took the liberty to put Geroia in Calradia in a way that makes sense and in a way that doesnt look out of place, to learn more about them read the town and kingdom/character texts.

Darshi
The famed realm of the Padishah is inspired by the ancient Persian and Turko-Persian states of medieval times. I put the deceased padishah as the head of the state, added Rhagaea as her daughter and expanded on the lore with regards to what we know.

Banners

Some Vlandian banners are replaced with more fitting banner sigils inspired
by the Norman sigils and icons we see on the Bayeux tapestry. And those
sigils are available for players to use. Also changed Western Empire's
colors slightly because it was confusing against Vlandia.
Darshi and Geroia also get culture specific banners added to the banner editor.

World - Lore and World building

Two new bridges were added to connect the 2 islands to the mainland,
Perassus now sits on the island at the center of the Perassic sea and
Ayn Assuadi sits near the Lys straight.
The playable area has been expanded to South East and South West pretty much covering all of Calradia.

The newly added castles and towns get their placements and names from Mount and Blade Warband,
and the cut settlements we see in Bannerlord 2016 map. So nothing is randomly named or placed but of course, since Warband's map is pretty much different, I followed TW's footsteps and stretched the map to fit into Bannerlord, taking BL as the canon map.

Darshi town names have been created with care so that they dont sound and look random, hard to memorize. So no town names like "Kuransue-Bercedizug" or things like that. Same thing applies to NPC names. Geroian names have been taken from the unreleased names from 2016 version of the game.

All the new faction leaders will get unique politics dialogue explaining their situation. All the new towns and villages get unique lore/background stories. There are some expansions on already existing characters as well; for that you may want to look at Rhagaea's family tree.

There is also a very very basic claimant-kind of quest in the mod. Look for the mysterious lady.

NOTES

This is a standalone expansion, you dont need KoC.

"Why dont you use OTA OSA OBA ETA FERA EGHA......."

Because I dont want you (and myself) to download 25 GBs of unoptimized, crash prone assets that destroy the game performance just to add a few armors. The mod is supposed to be lightweight with little to no dependencies. A plug-in and play experience.

Compatibility

Obviously, not compatible with mods that change the world map and cultures.
Warlord mod for some reason causes a crash when talking to new faction leaders, I am unable to locate the cause of the issue since I do not get a crash report, and I cannot see the source code for the Warlord pack. So, avoid using  that mod and my mod together.

And of course, does not work with the Story mode, play Sandbox.

Story Mode is now partially supported, meaning the character creation and the family will now work as intended however this is not a full support as I do not know how the game will behave if the player chooses to follow Neretzes' folly quest. The patch provides basic character/culture support. version 1.2

****Diplomacy mod is highly recommended for wars that make sense and to prevent native AI issue for new cultures and kingdoms that causes them stay passive for far too long and not initiate any wars

Native Game Fixes :

Floating farms are fixed.
Floating village icons fixed.
Transparent rock formations near towns like Balgard have been fixed.
Cloth physics now should work in ALL scenes.

Special thanks to Litauen for their guides,
to ExpertShip64358 for the permission to use 2 byzantine armors
to slelyukh for their help with bug hunting, and for overall being a very good dude.
