Really like the changes. Now that I see the imperial skirmisher though, could you add higher tier skirmishers as well? Still light armor of course, but faster and with more athletics. Also a better shield.
Tried on a cleansave, no other mods, but ain't working damn, i had foudn the idea exactly how i envisioned the game, with the western empire being the roman one
Posted on another mod, but I find myself curious if this mod is compatible with Mixed Gender Troops? If not I assume that's why my game was crashing ridiculously quick. I only have those two mods, plus the unit fixes.
Either way I'm following this mod closely because I like the separation or as Kindjal83 put it the nice 'flavor' for all the factions so they're not all carbon copies.
Also as a follow up; can you clean up the main files a bit? I 'm personally a touch confused, yes they're date stamped but I want to make sure that the version I'm downloading is the right one rather then picking and choosing.
Just came to tell you this mod is simply amazing, and that this is something the developers should have thought. By giving each part of the Empire a certain "flavour", like its Western and Eastern historical counterparts, or, to some degree, if you want to accentuate the differences between them, a Byzantine/Holy Roman aestetical difference. May I ask if you are going to to the same to the Southern Empire as well? The Western has pikes and spears, the Northern has some Vargir auxiliaries, the Southern you could perhaps emphasise some Saracen type auxiliaries/cavalry, or go for the "proper" Roman feel of heavy infantry... Your call. Anyways, amazing mod. Endorsed.
May I suggest renaming the Varangian Guard units to Vaegir Guard? A companion we meet mentions that he was part of the Vaegir Guard, which protects the Calradic Emperor and were accused of his murder.

Your mod has been moved to the new "Troops and Units" category as part of a restructuring of file categories for Bannerlord.
