About this mod

A submod for Realm of Thrones that adds an event where Aegon invades on day 390, and makes a few minor cosmetic changes, inspired by the book.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Minor Cosmetic Changes
  • Aegon's banner is the Blackfyre sigil (not making a statement with this, I just want to differentiate between Aegon and Dany, and am not in love with the golden dragon).
  • Aegon's face-code is slightly changed for the valyrian features.
  • Renamed the Strickland clan to Golden Company and changed their banner to their solid gold (Strickland doesn't deserve his own clan)

A detailed accounting of the event
  • Gives away Aegon's Essos holdings.
  • Gives Aegon Storm's End, Cape Wrath and Tarth
  • Gives JonCon Griffin's Roost
  • Gives the Golden Company Rain House, Mistwood and Greenstone
  • Teleports most of Aegon's faction to reasonably suitable Westeros settlements (except any clans joined after the game start, and Qaggaz >:)
  • Makes new parties in Westeros for Aegon, JonCon, Duck, Harry, Dick, Yandry and Laswell Peake
  • The parties are filled with Golden Company max rank units with a ratio of: 50% inf 30% cav %20 crossbow, up to their respective party size limits. They're also given 400k gold in case they can't afford their party size limit, in my testing Tywin is always very strong at this point and I'm not sure how to artificially boost Aegon's strength.
All the credit goes to Carolina Warlord and the ROT team, without their code my non-existent c# experience would have mattered even more.

Realm of Thrones is obviously needed for the mod.

I've found one occasional bug where joining Aegon soon after the invasion and opening the kingdom screen causes a crash, but I've always been able to solve it by turning off the mod (which doesn't matter since at this point the mod has already done its job anyway). I've not tested the mod in on-going saves so do that at your own behest, the cosmetic changes will only affect a new game, in my experience.
