Features

General

• Geographically and historically accurate settlements, rivers, forests, and swamps (as much as possible).
• Historical figures with hand-crafted faces.
• More realistic travel speeds - you can no longer cross the entire map in 3 days!
• Custom historical items, including helmets, armors, and more.
• Custom troop trees following De Re Military logic (irregulars, regulars, nobles).
• Two custom castles with Lord Halls: Voruta and Grod Jazdow.
• New scenes for churches, keeps, taverns, and arenas.
• Custom AI artwork and loading screens.
• Additional soundtracks for enhanced immersion.
• Basic Religion support.

Map / Armies / Parties / Strategy

• Kingdoms now make more strategic decisions about declaring war.
• Party movement speed reduced while in enemy territory.
• Parties near enemy castles risk garrison guerrilla attacks - leading to lost troops, stolen supplies, missing horses, and reduced morale and cohesion.
• Armies now avoid chasing smaller, faster parties.
• Armies will now decide whether to assist nearby settlements under siege.
• Garrison and allied parties within besieged settlements will now join forces against besiegers when victory seems possible.
• Companions (Clan Members) no longer automatically transfer troops to garrisons when visiting settlements and will not be summoned to the AI armies.

Recruitment / Troops

• Both players and AI can hire troops in castles.
• Train your companions in the arena and turn malnourished beggars into skilled warriors!
• Good relations with the settlement's owner are required to recruit troops.
• Tier 6 troops require influence to maintain.

Relations – Now Play a Meaningful Role

• Separate relations are tracked with each lord.
• At lower clan tiers (0 and 1), the player must personally meet notables or lords before being able to talk to them.
• Many changes to how relations are acquired: assigning governors, sieges, starvation, and loyalty all affect relations. Releasing captured heroes after battle or from the party menu improves relations. Relation gains for donated lords have been reduced. Giving troops, fighting alongside or against lords, donating troops to garrisons, giving prisoners to notables, and killing bandits near settlements also impact relations.

Building System – A Productive Way to Spend Time Between Wars

• Assist with repairs or construction in settlement for small rewards, training, and to support the growth.
• Contribute to castle or town projects to accelerate their completion.

Battles / Sieges – More Realistic, More Enjoyable

• Friendly fire from the player to the AI – Adds realism and requires greater situational awareness, encouraging more careful tactics and making battles more intense and strategic.
• Stronger castle gates, resulting in longer sieges, tougher choke points, and increased value for ranged units.
• Shield bash and kick knockdown mechanics - dominate weaker opponents on the field.
• Retreating enemies will fight back when threatened - no more easy slaughtering.
• Ranged units switch their focus to the player at close range - you will think twice before getting too close.

Governors – Now Useful

• Notables in towns and castles can be assigned as governors.
• Governors now automatically transfer food from stash to granary when food is low, and will slaughter animals if granary becomes empty.

Smithing – More Balanced Without Exploits

• Smithing requires time and costs gold unless you own a smithy.
• Smithing stamina regenerates while traveling.
• Reduced materials from smelted weapons (dagger exploit removed).

Time Passage – Feel the Flow of Time, Make Meaningful Choices

• Time passes during various activities such as training in the arena, participating in or watching tournaments, inquiring about nearby tournaments, smithing, selling prisoners, recruiting, managing garrisons and prisoners, or trading.

Game Play

• Buy drinks for all party members to increase morale
• Buy drinks for all tavern visitors to increase renown

Minor Clans

• Oeselians, Latgalians, Livonians, Selonians, Ushkuiniki, Nadruvians

Quality of Life Improvements

• Fast Forward in scenes with CTRL+X and CTRL+V.
• The quartermaster can automatically manage food variety and livestock to maintain morale while preventing party movement penalties.
• Ask about nearby tournaments directly from the menu (no need to enter the scene).
• Hideouts can be attacked at any time.
• Increased available money in towns to avoid issues when selling loot.
• Added item search functionality in the Inventory screen.
• Minimum learning rate set to 0.05, ensuring learning never stops.
• Slightly more profitable workshops.
• Increased companion limit.
• More wandering characters in the world, each with culturally appropriate names and surnames.

Other Changes

• Removed Legendary/Masterwork item modifiers for low-tier items and reduced the chance for high-tier items—no more Legendary Pitchforks!
• Increased NPC presence in towns and villages to make them feel more lively.
• Added more variety to randomized loading screens.
• Naval travel available for selected paths.
• Some women in the party impact morale.
• Cows in the main party now produce butter every other day!

Custom Made Map

The goal of the map is to closely reflect reality and historical accuracy while maintaining playability.
