This is the All-in-One mod of my popular B.A.R.D. series of troop overhauls. It contains all the 6 major factions in the game. The aim of the mod is to unique identity to all factions in the game and balance it in a way that each empire will have a very distinct playstyle, with strengths and weaknesses. Extreme care and attention to detail was taken to make the units look good, functional, lore friendly and where I could as historically accurate as the vanilla assets allowed me.

TL;DR

  • Good looking reskins
  • A fresh but vanilla-like experience
  • Lore friendly armies
  • New units
  • New items
  • No dependencies (for now)
  • Balanced experience

Background

Bringing you my All-in-One overhaul mod in the B.A.R.D (Bannerlord Armies ReDone) faction overhaul series.

The mod completely overhauls the troop trees of all major factions, nobles included.

There are also a lot of balancing changes here to round off the mod.

The units look much better in my opinion, but please understand that this is just my personal taste, and will stay as such. Your constructive criticism is still welcome.

Lastly, this is a work in progress, and there will be a lot of updates and small tweaks as TaleWorlds updates the game and better modding tools are developed and released. Having said that, I think it's already in a really good place, check it out and see for yourself.

Disclaimer

As a general philosophy, I'm trying to create a more "grounded" look for all troops I edit. That means you won't see full plate and mail armored soldiers on Tier 3 and such. Even on some of the higher tiers you will not have that, as levied soldiers simply didn't have access to that quality of equipment in the time period Bannerlord is set in. In order to keep balance I'll increase/decrease stats and add modded items where needed so each faction can stay competitive with the rest.

I made this for myself first and foremost. While I'm ok to listen to feedback, that doesn't mean I'll make changes just because you think something should be different.

Having said all that, I hope you will enjoy the mod.

Compatibility

Compatible and tested on v1.0.0 & v1.0.1.

Save Game compatible. (Note: If you're adding this to an existing campaign though, it might take a while until the new troops appear for lords and in villages as recruits, but they will be available to the player instantly if you're upgrading from any of the base recruits.)

FAQ

The mod is not working?
If you have the latest version of the game, subscribed to the mod, enabled it in the launcher and my mods are below the native modules and you don't crash, the mod is working.

It still doesn't work?
Every single time someone claimed that it always turned out to be a user error, but I'm willing to help if you provide the necessary information.

Help, I crashed?
If you think you crashed because of my mod, send me the crash report so I can take a look at it. Otherwise I have no way of knowing why you crashed.

Is it compatible with X, Y or Z
I created this with maximum compatibility in mind, but I can't make it compatible and test it with every mod out there. Please try it out before asking. Other than that, it will obviously not be compatible with mods that modify the troop trees of major factions in general.

Is it compatible with RBM?
Yes, with caveats. It is compatible with their AI and Arena modules. It is NOT compatible with their Troop Overhaul (for obvious reasons) and only semi-compatible with the Combat Module (units will behave differently than intended and balance will be off). I would recommend sticking with only RBM's AI and Arena modules only.

Balance seems off?
While I do my best to test units one on one to make sure nothing roflstomps other units, I'm just one man, and can't test every unit against every other unit in thousands of scenarios, so I might have missed something. If you think a unit is OP, or more importantly a faction's combined arms power is way too strong let me know. Please send me a detailed list of army compositions so I can test that scenario and see what I can do about it.

X unit should use this or that, could you change it?
Please provide your reasoning in the comments, and I'll consider the change if it makes sense. Keep in mind that does not mean I'll implement it though.

X unit should wipe the floor with Y unit. Make it stronger?
Same as above. Provide your reasoning in the comments, and I'll consider the change if it makes sense. Keep in mind that does not mean I'll implement it though.

How did you make your shields look like that?
It's a mod called Simple Shield Patterns. It's available on the Nexus. Head over there and say hi to the mod author and endorse it.

This mod sucks, I hate it?
That's ok, I can't make it appeal to everyone. No hard feelings.

Uninstallation

Disable the mod and remove the mod folder if you are on the Nexus or just click unsubscribe if you are using steam workshop. (Note: See known issues below)

--------------------

Known Issues

If you uninstall the mod while you have my modded troops in your save game (which you will if you use the mod in a playthrough) the game will crash. You'll most likely have to start another save. I'm very sorry about this, but the way troop modding works now, there is no way for me to prevent this. As soon as there is a solution, I'll do my best implement it.
