It's possible, but tbh it's outside the scope of this mod and I'm not sure there's enough demand for it to justify spending my time on it, sorry :( However, if you yourself are interested in getting into modding, feel free to re-use the source code of this mod and modify it count enemy arrows.

Hello! Great idea! Is it possible to show remaining arrows for currently selected formation only? Would be really great to be able to know current situation not only for army as a whole, but for it's certain divisions separately, especially archers and horse archers. Also, if I understood correctly and mod counting any ammunition types (arrows, bolts, javelins and so on), maybe it would be better to replace "arrows" for "ammunition" or ''munitions"?

And one more thing, I've actually thought about it for quite some time. Is it possible to somehow select people from a certain formation, who have no ammo left, and order something only to them? In the late game, when there are a lot of fights army vs army, I have problem in big battles, as some of my archers (or horse archers) are there from the start, and some just entered the field via reinforcement. And while new arrived people can shoot, first ones have no arrows left, so either big part of my archers stands and do nothing, or I have to put them all to melee. Would be really great to select ones with no ammunition left and order them to retreat, or charge, or even transfer them to other formation, so that they would become useful or leave the field, while those with arrows still would fight as intended for long range army unit.

These are great ideas! Unfortunately, however, I don't have the time nor will to implement this - it's quite a bit of work and outside of the scope of the mod, which is intended to be quite simple. May be worth pitching to some other modders who want to pick this up :)

You can change this to your liking! Under the "config" folder is a file "config.xml". Open that up and you'll see the text "Army arrows: " which you can alter to your preference :) The reason why I went with arrows is because it's shorter and simpler.

      Thanks for the reply!
I am trying to get into game modding myself right now. So far I stick to basic simple things, but if I ever get to more complicated topics, may I use your work as a general guidance to ammunition counting?

Sure thing! If you end up using anything, I would have course appreciate a shoutout link or something to this mod :)
Just as a heads up, this mod was also my first foray into M&B modding so there may very well be better ways to implement this. One minor example of this that I have found (but not bothered to change everywhere in the mod) is how to get the agents that are friendly to the player. In the current implementation, the mod receives references to every agent and checks if they are friendly or not. Instead, you can get a reference to the player's MBTeam and directly get a collection of all the friendly agents. That's just an example of what can be done better - there are likely others as well!

Thank you for the info and permission! If I achieve something workable, I'll surely mention your mod as an inspiration and example.

No problem! Also, apologies in advance for any code style inconsistencies - I am a Java developer IRL and don't often code C#, and I can safely say I am not a fan of the C# style conventions, so I am a little inconsistent and sometimes use Java conventions out of habit :P

Don't even worry about that, it's all enthusiast hobby anyway. Besides, I mostly work with SQL, so probably I am no better with C# than you. :)
I actually see this modding experience as way to shake up my C# knowledge a little, as I haven't touch it since university.

Hi, the mod is not working correctly on version 1.4.1, there is only an "A" on the screen instead of the number of arrows remain. Please fix this

Hey mate, I'm happy to try and help with whatever issue you're having, but you need to provide more detail than this. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, but I'd like to avoid spending too much of my spare time on trying to find a crash with no info other than the version to go on. For what it's worth, I downloaded the beta and tried running the mod, and I went into a battle and experienced no crash. If you can provide more detail, I may be willing to help, but I am hesitant to support the beta-branch explicitly as-is. Usually the mod is compatible with the beta-branch outright, so it's no problem, but I'll probably only put concerted effort into it if the issue is trivial to fix (which I can only know if issue reporters provide enough detail) or if there is generally enough demand for it.
Not picking on you in particular, but just try to understand that (most) modders do this work free of charge and by taking up their spare time. If you can make our lives easier, we're more likely to help out. Cheers :)

      Oh, sorry.
It's not a crash, but only "A" of the displayed word appear on the screen.

I can't believe it takes this much code to present a number. So much brute force!! It would make _so_ much more sense if this information was available in a database so that you could just query and sum the remainders. I can't believe you have to track and propagate the actual individual arrowfire event!!!??? Shame on Taleworlds... shame.

Edit: Hope you don't take this as an attack on you! I'm assuming you did what you could!!! Good job!

Yeah, learning to mod Bannerlord has been quite... eye-opening :P Granted I haven't gone through all the code with a fine-tooth comb, so there might be easier ways, but the way I've implemented it is the most direct I was able to find. There've been a lot of "wtf Taleworlds" moments as I wrote this mod haha

Perhaps it would be nice to have the exact percentage along with the exact fraction, something like 80% (800/1000).
I know, it's not entirely necessary and I can't even say why I would like something, but I would. it’s an idea, and if it’s already possible disregard this comment!

Awesome, thanks for sharing! :D Just for my understanding - what does "mod launcher" refer to when it says "Needs mod launcher"?

Ah, yes that definitely sounds like it could happen. I will try to have a look tomorrow and see if I can't make the two mods compatible. Thanks for reporting :)

I'm getting the same issue. Hope you find a fix soon! I'm loving being able to see how many arrows I have so I know when to tell my archers to charge.

Alright, I've released version 1.2.5, which should fix this issue. Let me know if any issues persist! :)
