About this mod
As it is right now, the Vlandian Levy Crossbowman is considered infantry by default, despite being a crossbow unit. This mod fix it so that it's now a range unit instead. Also make it so the Aserai Mameluke Regular is considered cavalry.
- Permissions and credits
The mod fix the default assignment of the Vlandian Levy Crossbowman. Vanilla, the game thinks it's an infantry unit, despite using a crossbow, light armour and no shield. This mod address that, and it's now considered a range unit by default (no more re-assigning them every time you load ! Yeah !).
Also, works with NPC armies, they will consider the crossbowmen as a range unit. No more levy crossbowmen charge !
Added the Aserai Mameluke Regular to the mod. Went from infantry to cavalry (it was difficult to form a shield wall on horseback).
Compatibility :
-The mod should be compatible with any unit/troop tree modification, if the mod author make it compatible to (otherwise one will override the other for this specific unit). I haven't tested it thoroughly, so let me know if that's not true.
-Will not affect any other Vlandian unit modification in any way
Savegame compatibility :
-You can add the mod in an old save without issue, the change will be applied immediately
-Not tested, but you should be able to remove it from a save without issues.
Installation :
Vortex (suggested):
-Install with Vortex
-Enable the mod in the Bannerlord launcher/mods
-Profit !
Manual :
-Go to Bannerlord "root" folder (easy way : right click on "bannerlord" in your Steam library game list->Properties->Local Files->Browse Local Files). By default, it's located in C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord
-Unzip the mod there
-Enable the mod in the launcher
-Profit !
Don't forget to endorse the mod if it was helpful ! And let me know if you have any issue, or any other unit that are miss-assigned by the game (I only played Vlandia and Battania) !
