Dear immersonist!

I present to you my second mod, featuring a Simple Point Crosshair. Availible in two versions one with and one without hitmarkers.

Important:  You need to disable your Crosshiar in the games options, otherwise you will see both the old and the new! (seen in picture 2)

IMPORTANT UPDATE! PLEASE READ TO AVOID CONFUSION!

UPDATE:

Over the last 4 years I always played with my own mod enabled with no problems whatsoever. Therefore I assumed that nothing substancial had changed in the file structure of the edited file and that I don´t need to update the mod therefore I did not check the comments regulary. Turns out some functionaly of the mod did indeed no longer work due to a change in file architecture that ocurred in one of the updates:

-> Hitmarkers won´t show in both versions of the mod (I always used the one version where they should not show up by design so I did not notice)

->With the mod installed your default crosshair will be disabled by default and can´t be enabled via the options (unless you uninstall the mod ofc) and only the point crosshair will show (I also did not notice this because I always played with only the point crosshair enabled)

I JUST UPDATED THE MOD  it is now fully functional again for the current version of the game
(last tested with v 1.2.10 of the full release )

->  When you update your game it may overide the changes made by the mod! This happend to myself once from 1.3.0 to 1.4.1.  Fortunatly simply installing it again fixes the issue.

It seems that the new version since the introduction of the new crosshair messes with the mod a bit. To prevent this make sure that the lines on the bottom of you crosshair .xml (without downloading the mod) file looks the following (open it with notpad++) :

<Brush Name="Crosshair.HeadshotMarker">
<Layers>
<BrushLayer Name="Default" Sprite="MapMenuUnread@2x" Color="#FFFFFFAA" />
</Layers>
<Styles>
<Style Name="Default">
<BrushLayer Name="Default" AlphaFactor="1.0" />
</Style>
<Style Name="Show" AnimationToPlayOnBegin="ShowAnimation">
<BrushLayer Name="Default" Color="#FFFFFFAA" AlphaFactor="1.0" />
</Style>
</Styles>
<Animations>
<Animation Name="ShowAnimation" Duration="1.0" Loop="false">
<AnimationProperty LayerName="Default" PropertyName="AlphaFactor">
<KeyFrame Time="1.0" Value="1.0" />
<KeyFrame Time="1.0" Value="1.0" />
<KeyFrame Time="1.0" Value="1.0" />
<KeyFrame Time="1.0" Value="1.0" />
</AnimationProperty>
<AnimationProperty LayerName="Default" PropertyName="Color">
<KeyFrame Time="0" Value="#FFFFFFAA" />
</AnimationProperty>
</Animation>
</Animations>
</Brush>

</Brushes>

PS: You don´t need to download the mod if you mod it yourselfe as stated :)

How to install:

  • Unpack the downloaded rar. file with your programm of choice (winrar or 7zip).
  • Now you should have two files the ReadMe and the Crosshair.xml file.
  • Go to your Bannerlord Folder/Modules/Native/GUI/Brushes/Crosshair and replace your Crosshair file with one of mine. Dont forget to Backup first (rename your Crosshair file to something like "Crosshair - original" or "Crosshair - backup". Cause only the file called "Crosshair" will be used from your game ). Even works in MP.
  • Done

How to uninstall:

  • Go to your Bannerlord Folder/Modules/Native/GUI/Brushes/Crosshair and replace my Crosshair file with yours (change the names back). Dont forget to Backup if you want to use mine later.
  • If you forgot to backup the original just delete the modded Crosshair.xml file from your game and vertify game data on Steam. This will redownload the now missing files in no time.

WHY no MODULE file? Good Question! - Due to the fact that currently modules are not supported in
MP it would only work in SP. For more convenience I will uplod a module file for for only SP in the near future.

Things I still need to fix:
Crosshair also shows on Character selection Screen in Muliplayer and with melee weapons (workaround see below)

How to toggle Crosshair (and hud):

I (actually Krabazog, but I just found his mod :D ) found a workaround for the problem! By using the "No HUD_PhotoMOD" by Krabazog in
conjunction with mine you are able to toggle the whole hud by the press of a button (customisable). This also effects my "Point Crosshair"!
Check out his awesome mod!

"No HUD_PhotoMOD" by Krabazog  <- Nice

My other mod:

Check out my first mod if you only want to disable hitmarkers in Sp and MP but keep your classic crosshair

If any questions or problems shoud arise feel free to leave a comment! I will try to answer and help you as good as I can!

Happy Harvesting Season!
