About this mod

This mod goal is set out to be the near complete reworking of the games troop tree with as little external mods needed. To create a balanced and entertaining game experience. To diversify many of the troop trees that bear too common of a resemblance to one another.

Overall focus of this mod was to make each faction a more unique feel rather than having similar trees. Create basic starting units that had an increase in survivability. Require no other mods. Refocus on some balance issues from vanilla. Improve on the enjoyability of the game.

Vlandia:
Has been tweaked to where they focus more heavily on their heavy shock cavalry and crossbowmen, with heavy infantry being more of a supporting factor towards them rather than a complete driving force.

Sturgia: Changed to where they are heavy infantry focus and have diversified options in infantry. As well as give them easier access to heavy cavalry through their elite tree.

Empire: A well rounded tree that does not do anything significantly better than other factions but nothing significantly worse. Legionary though still very strong and earlier access to cavalry through the elite tree rather than having them start with infantry unit. By doing this, it helps balance only slightly the odds they have against their more mobile neighbors.

Aserai: Improved their armor slightly to help with their lack of survivability they have in vanilla as well making them a bit more distinct as well with quick access to certain units.

Battania: Given what they are supposed to be focused on which is ranged units. Both a skirmisher and archer branch as well as making the wood runner an archer. They also have lack of strong cavalry relying more on range and infantry.

Khuzait: Went with them being more focused on their cavalry by merging and reducing their foot units. The infantry now are both melee and range capable making them a bit more adaptable depending on the situation required without having to give up cavalry in your army or garrison. Also was finding in vanilla that by having easy access at tier 2 to horse archers in the main tree made the Khuzaits easily winning battles against other ai and making them difficult to handle as a player with a young army. So instead they are simply light melee cavalry now.

This mod is a rework of the minor faction trees. Goal is to create more lore friendly depth as well as balanced. The reworks also diversify many of these minor factions making them enjoyable to play as if given the chance to capture enough of them to form an army of your own. There are a few minor factions that do not have new troop trees.

Newly added to this mod now and reason for the re-upload is there is a big change to bandit factions and mercenaries.

Mercenaries have been reworked to be slightly less generic and to be themed around Greek/Macedonian Phalanx and late Italian Free Companies. So you will see light skirmish cavalry, skirmishers, heavy ranged infantry, and heavy infantry both of pike and close combat focuses.

Bandits will be diversified and slightly beefed up to combat the changes made to the main faction troop trees and to increase the risk but not significantly enough to where they are an issue. The changes to Bandits come from my friends mod De Re Militari. If you haven't tried this mod out and his unique take I do highly recommend it. Bandits over the timespan of this mod will shift of course to become something unique in their own right for in game and the mod itself. This will take time though and constant testing to see what will be both fun yet interesting at the same time.
