This mod aims to improve the secondary melee attacks (kick, shield and weapon bash) to be more impactful, fun and add more character to the various weapon types.

Useful Alternative Attacks

This mod aims to make the alternative attacks more fun and useful. This is achived by adding various effects when an agent is hit by a kick or shield/weapon bash. You always wanted to kick an enemy off the walls, like a certain spartan king? Looking for a way to play a disarming dagger wielder? Then look no further!

Added effects will vary according to critical failure, failure, success or critical success, the critical success effects are usually a stronger variation of the normal success. The added critical effects are:
 
  • Kick: More damage and knockback 
  • Dagger: Disarm
  • 1h Axe: Knockback and damange
  • 1h Spear: Knockback and disarm
  • 1h Mace: Knockdown
  • 1h Sword: KnockBack and disarm
  • Large Shield: Knockdown and damage
  • Small Shield: KnockBack and disarm
  • 2h Axe: Knockdown
  • 2h Mace: Knockdown
  • 2h Sword: Knockdown
  • 2h Polearms: Knockdown and damage

The success roll calculation takes in account the player's and opponent's athletics skill, the higher your skill, the higher your success chance. This can be disabled using the extensive configuration options. Almost every success chance and damage modifiers can be adjusted to your needs.
