    I think I've figured out the crash with BL 1.1.0, the 1.0.2 version should work, let me know if not.

    loving the mod, really great work. when i forge a weapon my whole screen will turn white except for a few smaller elements on the ui like the name space and stats of the crafted weapon. any idea how i can fix that? mod works fine otherwise. i'm only using dismemberment, cut through everyone, and their libraries, so i doubt it's an incompatibility

    Any chance for one that automatically changes the name without pressing the button? Not saying remove the button, just having it be as if it's clicked once automatically. For those of us who mass manufacture weapons sometimes and sell em and get tired of being punished for that with flooded markets of "crafted 2h sword"

    so when i craft the exact same item with the exact same weapon parts multiple times in a row the auto naming works and gives each item a different name but when i return to my inventory the items i just crafted all have the exact same name as the last item i crafted? i think it might be a vanilla bug? can anyone else confirm this?

      Let me test that and get back to you, that shouldn't happen but I'll check.

      Edit: Okay I see that happening sometimes, I'll try and figure out what's going on.

      It looks like it only happens if you don't randomize the parts, though it really shouldn't be doing that either.

      seems like its a vanilla bug. tested it without this mod and same thing happened. seems like the game can't differentiate names between items that have the same weapon pieces.

      Phew. That would make sense to me because ultimately it's calling to generate a new name each time you click "Forge", and the display name in the text box is the only thing I have available to set.

      BTW one thing I could do is make a separate button that automatically randomizes the pieces and does the Forge action in one click.

      I can confirm this is a vanilla bug, nothing to really be done about it. One thing I did get to work once (but then updated the game the next day and it no longer worked) Was that I made two eapons with all the exact same parts, with the sole difference that 1 ad a Max Length Blade (Character's Cavalry Sword as name) and the other had a minimum length Blade part (Character's Siege Sword as name), and despite them both having the exact same parts they actually appeared in inventory as two separate weapons.

      So I don't know if the weapons overwriting each other is related specifically to length, or perhaps they need to have vastly different stats (the Long'un had horrible handling/speeds but massive Cut Damage, while the Shorty had Handling of 99 and speed stats for Cut and Thrust well over 100 but very low damage values), one thing i'm fairly sure of is that they must be named differently.

      Technically it's not actually a bug, it's part of the game's hashing of item codes to reduce the amount of unique items it creates. I *can* change it and make it so that it adds the weapon name into the hash code, which will make it so that a uniquely named item doesn't get grouped with other items with the same parts, but I'm not sure it's actually a good idea.

      It might fix the issue with a masterwork/legendary weapons stat bonuses getting reset after a save load, if we're lucky.

      @Gambit, I just heard about that today, that's actually a good reason to make the change/fix. I'll put it up as a separate mod probably, though. Might be a bit before I have it set up though.

    I desperately want to use both of these but was getting crashes with both and tragically more part variety takes priority for me over more naming variety :c

      I use both right now without crashes. There shouldn't be anything that conflicts or causes any crashes between them, since my mod doesn't actually know how many or where the parts are coming from (doesn't actually interface with the part system at all).

      The tournament rewards pull from all objects and/or the town roster. I believe when an item is crafted it's item definition is put in the all objects container. Which then makes them eligible for selection.I'm not sure there's even a way to get rid of them, some of my crappy early creations still show up in shops.

      I had this happen to me, I made a Tier 1 Estoc for use in towns ( tier 1 narrow something or other blade with a T2 bastard sword grip, T1 Thin Guard, and Tier 1 Ring Pommel, and suddenly they were appearing in shops all over the place for 218 gold, started being offered as tournament rewards fairly commonly, and even began to appear on the Gang Members rarely in the 'Rival Gang Moving into XYZCity' quests.

      It annoyed me at first but honestly, I love it. So if you ever do find a way to patch it out, please god make it a configurable thing. I absolutely love seeing my weapons appear in game.
