About this mod

Add one elite troop branch, one non elite troop branch, one female troop branch and 2-3 unique mercenary troop branch for each faction. also add many equipments into the equipment pool of about 20 vanilla troops, works on 1.0.0+

this mod is a troop tree expand mod add Add one elite troop branch, at least one non elite troop branch, one female troop branch and 2-3 unique mercenary troop branch for each faction. also add many equipments into the equipment pool of more than 40 vanilla troops. this mod is save compatible. works on 1.0+(has some version work on previous version of game)

Part one: elites of the Calradia (elite troops).
A new elite troop tree separate from t4 for every faction. The reason is I don't want to change the game's balance a lot.  


here are the 6 new troop tree branchs in this mod:

Empire-Clibanarii 
A variant of cataphract, actually a synonym of "cataphract" during some period in real world , change the shield into a bow and arrows. 

Aserai-Noble Skirmisher 
Fast, light armored mounted Skirmishers with 10 shots of javelins.

Vlandian-Mercenary Knight
Not every knight can have his own fief and peasants, some knights are forced to fight as Mercenaries, more skillful and more capable in more complex situations(they may bring two-hand weapons) , but may spawned with cheaper armor.

Khuzait-Kheshig Lancer
A lancer variant of kheshig and khan's guard, with better armor capable for melee combat.

sturgia-Huskarl
Fearsome heavy armored infantry, fight in a more "nordic" style, with javelins, shields, and two hand weapons.  

Battania-Noble warrior
The legendary noble warrior of battania, capable on many types of weapons.


Part two: backbone of the army (non elite troops).

Empire-imperial light infantry: aside the famous Skutatoi or legionaries, the empire also use javelin infantry as supporter, those light armed infantry will try to flank and disrupt enemy when the heavy infantry hit the enemy line. 

Aserai:-light infantry, not every tribesmen can afford horses like noble class, and not every freeman tribal warrior can buy him self a set of heavy armor, but with courage and javelins, these warrior are deadly as well.

Vlandia- peasant archer, in the vast forest of the west coast you can find hunters and outlaws dwell in forest, unpredictable and harder to control, but their archery is a fine addition to the slow firing crossbowmen. they will provide supressing fire while the famous sharpshooters aiming their enemy.

Khuzait- shock infantry, a light-armored infantry with deadly khuzait Glaive.

sturgia-raider, in the harsh north forests, javelin is not only a weapon, but a tool for earn someone a living. these warriors wear lighter armor and rain javelins on the enemy, also they bring spear to counter enemy horsemen.

horse archer: as a kingdom share border with the nomadic tribes,  horse archers is essential to protect their border. 

Battania-kern archer, although not skillful like the nobles in archery, and lack good bows, these tribal warriors are still deadly shooters.


Part three: dogs of war (mercenaries). 


Empire: female adventure: female sword wielding warriors equiped with heavy armor and javelins.
              mercenary: mercenary legionary: heavy infantry with blunt weapons.
              nordic guard: nordic warriors equip with two hand axe and shields.
              mercenary horseman: horse archers from the steppe 

Aserai: huntress: female survival masters equiped with bows and javelins.
             mercenary:  desert raider: mounted Skirmishers with javelins.
             ghulam: heavy shock cavalry based on the ghulam minor faction units, but ride horse.

Vlandian: female sharpshooter: female snipers with more ammo.
                 mercenary sharpshooter: a crossbowman with abundant ammo.
                 mercenary sergeant: a foot soldier with better armor compare to the vlandian sergeant.
                 mercenary mounted crossbowman:A mounted crossbowman with abundant ammunition.
Khuzait: horsewoman: female horse skirmishers with bows and javelins.
               mercenary horsearcher and noble horseman: mounted steppe warriors focus on skirmishing.
sturgia: shield maiden: female nordic warriors with large round shield and axes.
              mercenary forester: the forest tribal  hunter joins your rank.
              mercenary berzerker: fearsome nordic warrior equiped with two hand axes and maul.
Battania: Noble woman: female noble warriors equiped with longbow, sword and shield.
                mercenary archer: flexible warriors equiped with longbow, sword and shield.
                galloglass: elite infantry based on the vanilla galloglasee line.

Part four: armory (more equipments to the equipment pool of some vanilla troops and overhaul some of them to make more diversity in both function and visual aspect).

overhualed:
Empire palatine archer:with shoulder armor and a shield,will use axe,mace and swords in close combat.
Empire cataphracts: will now have 33% of shield Adaptable spears.
Sturgia heavy axeman/spearman: with better armor and weapon
Sturgia bowmans:Use two-handed axe instead a one hand one
Sturgia brigands(t4 t5): more armor sets and horse armor for t5
Sturgia druzhinnik and druzhinnik champion:will now some times use two handed axes instead of lance
Khuzait marksman:change one 24 shot quiver into a 36 shot one
Khuzait keshig/ khan's guard: use better bows

Add new equipment sets:
Vlandia: Sergeant, Vanguard, Sharpshooter, hardened crossbowman, swordsman, cavalry, light cavalry
Sturgia: Line breaker, Heroic line breaker,spearman
Battania: Picked warrior,  Oathsworn, Veteran falxman, fian, fian champion, flax man, hero
Khuzait: Heavy lancer, Darkhan, horse archers
Aserai: Footman,  infantry, Veteran infantry, Master archer, Mameluke guard, Mameluke palace guard, Mameluke heavy cavalry, tribesman, light archer, mamluke solider, mamluke regular
Empire:  Trained infantryman, Veteran infantryman, legionary, Menavliaton, Elite Menavliaton, Veteran archer, Sergrant crossbowman, Cataphract, Elite cataphract

They now have more than one set of equipment. some just have minor difference, some are much bigger.

Part five: smithy (more weapons, crafting pieces tweak and equipment tweak)
weapon: add 10+ new weapon into the base game by using the smith system, also use these weapons to enrich the equipment pool of many troops.

armor: several armor's stats has been tweak and make several saddle to fill the gap between high armor value saddle and low armor value saddle (for example, empire's low armor value saddle only has 15 armor, but high value is 60, so I make a 35 armor new saddle using the 15 armor saddle's module)

crafting pieces: adjust many crafting pieces to make the game more balance, like increase the damage of the throwing axes to make them break shield as they should be, reduce the damage of the two-handed swing weapons to make them more reasonable.

Part six:citizen, outlaw, warrior and many more
it's very uncomfortable for me to see this: almost every wander you encounter, no matter their background, you know, outlaws, doctors, warriors, nomads etc, share the same equipment pool just because they form the same culture, so I made some improvement: wanders in every culture now will have more than one equipment pool for their starting equipment, which is based on their background and skill, like the "loner" in Battania culture will have a bow and a quiver of arrow for starting equipment and stay in "ranged" formation in default.

Also, add 6 more npcs wanders into the game, each has their own story.
