Any idea how can I make lords wear armor from Vlandian Armoury mod?

Hey peoples, So ive been working on updating my mods finally, and unfortunately, It does not look like this mod will be updated soon, due to the fact that DRM is undergoing some metamorphosis and I dont want to do double work. Hoping DRM comes through with its new version when 1.6.2 becomes stable, at which point I will be carefully updating this mod as well. In the mean time, check out my other mod for RBM and Vlandian Armory compatibility.

Hey people who use this mod, just wanted to touch base. With 1.6.0 coming soon, I’ll be working on some mod updates again to bring everything up to date. I haven’t abandoned these mods!

Just downloaded as I'm going to give it a whirl, but overall I like what you did. I take it that this uses the same files as your Vlandian Armory/RBM compatibility mod?

One thing I noticed in testing though is that it feels like you randomized the quality on the knights pretty noticably; rather than the rough mail -> double mail -> coat of plates -> scale progression for Squires/Bachelors/Bannerets/Paladins respectively, it seems like Bachelors and Bannerets share the same rough armor pool with the biggest change being their war horses. Curious as to the motive behind that, TBH, since Vlandian Knights were already pretty heavily armored as I had them.

Thanks! Yes, the items file is ALMOST the same, but I did add the great helm and prankh helm because I wanted a little more visual diversity for some of the knight outfits. It was an issue of metal texture matching.

And yeah the knights I generally tried to make them have a progression, but replaced one of the paladins with the leather and fur cloak because it looked cool. lol. Maybe I should move that build down to the bannerets instead? There was a banneret that you had given some pretty solid armor to, so they also got some heavier duty armor as well I think. But, in general I tried to follow the vibe i got from what you had designed. If you were going for a more defined progression of armor, Ill make another pass and bring it more into line with your original vision. :)

I know the feeling of really wanting to use a set because it looks cool; that was how I got the Aserai Tabardariyya armor for Bannerlord's 2.0 release or my fondness for the Imperial Leather over Lamellar as an infantry uniform (despite it getting kicked up really high in quality).

I'll have to check my original files, as I might have had one COP in the Bachelors as a "chance for better gear" thing, but when I was doing a test I was seeing a lot of coats-of-plates on them which caught me off guard as I was mostly expecting maille at that level, while the coat of plates was for Bannerets. Haven't really tested the Paladins at length yet, but I figured you had enough heavier coat-of-plates plus heavier shoulders to not need to use the Plated Leather over Mail (which personally I left for the crossbowmen, but it's your compatibility patch)

Oh! haha yea my memory is not very good, I thought i had left the bachelors alone as far as the coat of plates. Ill go back and look again and see what I changed.

Ok i just looked back at the file and I know what I did now. There was one bachelor wearing plated leather coat, I left him alone, there was one wearing coat of plates over mail, him also i left alone. The others were wearing the double mail hauberk, (I think), which has the 70 chest armor. those poor sods got a downgrade to the vlandian mod chainmail which has just 50 chest armor, but is still a lot better than the vanilla white coat over mail. This was done ONLY for aesthetic reasons. lol. Im about to go in there and give one of them the vlandian mod coat of plates, some swadian shoulders too, for the first knight bachelor.
Thanks so much for the feedback!
