When I learned that they would be nerfing the leadership morale bonus in 1.5.9, I suspected this would be trouble. At first everything seemed to be fine. Then I looked at the morale of my army and realized that everything was not fine. The average morale of my army, the one that is used for battles, was much lower than I was comfortable with. And by army I mean my army made of companion parties. All of my companion party leaders have some leadership, but with the extreme nerf to the leadership morale bonus, apparently not enough.

I did not know how much of a change had been made in 1.5.9. I suspected that the bonus value had been cut in half. I was very wrong. The leadership moral bonus was now just twenty five percent of what is had been in 1.5.8. No wonder my companion parties had such crappy morale.

This mod makes the leadership morale bonus adjustable. You can restore the value to 1.5.8 levels or make it even higher. There are limits in place in the mod to keep you from breaking the game. The game’s value for leadership morale bonus in 1.5.8 was 0.4. In version 1.5.9 of the game the bonus was just 0.1. The mod’s default value is 0.2 and that seems to be enough for me.

The leadership moral bonus applies to all parties in the game that have a leader, not just your parties.

The mod’s configuration file is AdjustableLeadershipMoraleBonus.txt and it can be found in the same folder as the mod’s DLL file. The value LeadershipMoraleBonusPerSkill can be changes to increase the moral bonus. It has a valid range of 0.1 to 1.0 inclusive. Out of range values will be ignored.

Save Game Safe!
You can add and remove this mod at any time. It does not save any data to the save file. It can be added to an existing game.

Compatibility With Other Mods:
This mod overrides the DefaultPartyMoraleModel. It will conflict with any mod that attempts to change the same code. This mod does not use harmony. It is less likely to conflict with future versions of the game. (Unless Taleworlds starts randomly renaming procedures again or makes other arbitrary code changes.)
