Landless factions are no longer allowed to wage war.

Currently in Bannerlord there is no way to eliminate a kingdom, other than mass murder. Defeated factions will constantly declare war and pillage villages. Crafting a way to fix this was much more difficult than you might think.

I tried to break up the defeated kingdoms by kicking out all of the lords and then snuffing out the ruling clan. This actually made the situation worse. The independent clans immediate started declaring war on everyone, even each other. While this was amusing at first, it was a terrible idea.

I did make a mod that will programmatically murder the entire defeated faction. I call this the nuclear option. While it was quite effective, it left the player unable to recruit any lords from the fallen kingdom.

The only option left (and it wasn’t a good one) was to prevent the defeated factions from engaging in any more wars. This mod will actively end any war involving a faction that has no fiefs. Peace is simply forced upon the landless factions in hopes that they will eventually break up. It isn’t a great solution, but the game doesn’t really have a concept of defeat like Warband did. The mod only runs once a day, so it might take up to 23 hours for peace to be declared.

I am currently using this mod in my own game and I am uploading it here in case any of you might find it useful.

Save Game Safe!
You can add and remove this mod at any time. It does not save any data to the save file. It can be added to an existing game.

Compatibility With Other Mods:
This mod does not use harmony or change any game code. It adds an extension module to the game that runs silently in the background. It is unlikely to conflict with other mods or future updates to the game. (Unless Taleworlds starts randomly renaming procedures again or makes other arbitrary code changes.)
