Download newest working Bannerlord Cheats mod (not even sure if this is necessary or if character switch is vanilla cheat for newer game version), enable hotkeys for cheat descriptions. Enable cheat mode in game and go to the encyclopedia page of whichever character you wish to control and press Ctrl + H (Hold Ctrl). This will come with crashes obviously when switching to a different character while main character is inside a town with popup screen. I have not used this cheat hardly at all as I have a mod that allows me to switch around to different my clan members already.
Bummer I was going to try it tonight guess not. Sucks that it's the only way I know to train my children so I can catch them up to their peers before they are 40.

When you click on the kingdom button, it crashes, so there is no point in this method
