Updated for 1.5.4 and 1.5.5 - Fixed remote inventory management which broke in 1.5.4 with the addition of the character drop-down menu.

Refactored some code and added null checks to reduce chances of a crash. Tested on 1.5.5, and very lightly on 1.5.4. YMMV.

Bugfix to prevent possible party member duplication, and a crash on another null situation. Tested on v1.5.5.
Resolves crashbug where player has Manage Equipment option turned OFF and advances to the Inventory screen after battle.
