    This mod is pretty dead actually. Sorry.I have too many other things to deal with to be doing anything else with this mod now. From a skim of the comments though, I believe some chaps have managed to fix some stuff. Follow their instructions and maybe you'll get this thing working again.

    That being said, one of the other things I have been working on is a new BL troop mod project. If you are interested in that, come join the Discord and go right down to the Dark Ages WIP section to see what's cooking.?

    If your Modules Folder doesn't look like that, you are doing it wrong.

    For those getting crashes related to aserai troop, I think armor pack 1.2 (february) is the crash source. Using armor pack 1.0 (january) doesn't crash the game for me

      Same here, I couldn't walk into their towns, I would get a crash everytime. Saw this comment and I downgraded to the january version too and now works flawlessly! Thanks

      Yep, tried this recently and I can confirm exactly this. I'll be talking with the creator on adjusting that.

    In my thoughts on how to get the mod running correctly in 1.7.0/1.7.1:

    -Update the format of all culture files to be consistent with the vanilla (but be aware to keep values about troops unchanged, in other words, assure their default troops are from the mod, don't just full replace culture files)
    -If you are using the Default ATC Settings version, delete line 10, 22, and 35 (redundant <eliteTroops>s)in MoreTroopsAserai\Config\MTA_ATC.modconfig.xml, which stoping ATC from reading the Aserai config. The Native Culture Preservation doesn't have this trouble though.
    -Find a way to fix required mods (Basically Vaegir Armoury, see their posts)

    So far I can play the mod on 1.7.1 but Swadian armoury crashes on 1.7.2.
    Since I personally rewrote the ATC config files rather than just fix them, now I'm not quite sure if enabling <EnableCustomTemplates> in AdonnaysTroopChanger\Config\ATC.settings.xml (which is a default setting) would affect minor factions to let them less likely respawn with their featured troops, but if someone is meeting that problem, disabling it might be a worth try.

    would you allow someone to make an unofficial version of this to keep updating it, because it is a great mod and the fact that it may never be updated is kind of sad

      Sure, why not. I would not even mind if someone took the skeleton of this mod and made something of their own, given a little credit.

      Sort of, and I can say it doesn't work. Best wait on a hotfix, and then I'll see what needs to be done from there.

      the problem for the 1.7 version seems to be the culture file for the factions as some new fields have been added i managed to fix it by copying the base data from SandBoxCore\ModuleData\spcultures.xml and replacing each file for every faction, in which u only have to change i think 9 values (elite_basic_troop, basic_troop, melee_militia_troop, ranged_militia_troop, melee_elite_militia_troop, ranged_elite_militia_troop, caravan_master, caravan_guard & veteran_caravan_guard) from the default ones, to make it work

      Amendment. Replacing single strings doesn't work on 1.7
      Replace completely from <Culture id = "aserai" to </Culture>. And so for each faction, just in case I did the same with "MoreTroopsMercenaries". So far it works.

      Hey if you have the time, as someone who doesn't mod bannerlord this is quite confusing, can you explain this a little more? I've no clue where to find the xml's in the screenshot you took, nor where to replace things.

      I can confirm that replacing the data from spcultures.xml to each of the faction culture xmls is only for making this mod work. You will also need to update the submodule xml for the Vaegir Armoury mod as that errors out if you dont.

      Find where the game is stored through steam and then navigate to Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\SandBoxCore\ModuleData for the base game and then replace the appropriate culture in MoreTroopsExample\ModuleData

      this works perfectly if you do what homeboy Asko1 says.  Been using it, played 250 days, heavily modified this already heavily modified mod with my own tweaks at that to.

      I have followed the instructions provided by Asko1 and other, and everything seems to be working... except the minor factions like Skolderbrotva and Lake Rats get an absolute mess of different culture troops and don't recruit their own special troops at all. I play with a lot of other mods, including things like Realistic Battle, however this mod seems like the most likely culprit, anyone having a similar issue?

      Some of the new items donĀ“t seem to work for some reason (troops appear half naked / without some weapon). Any suggestions what I might have done wrong or how to fix this? I followed asko1 instructions.

      Use Swadian Armoury instead of Vlandian. The vlandian Paladins with their great winged helmets ARE immersion-breaking, and some of them still seem to be missing their gloves, but that's the only way I've been able to make it work so far. You might be able to edit the unit's equipment to solve that, but I was too lazy for that.
