Compatible with 1.2.0 Beta

/!\
Due to the change to "cut" damage, some bows and crossbows deal heavily increased damage to siege constructs, I will try to look into that. This should generally not influence your siege gameplay as the AI does not make use of this or any of the new cutting arrow types.

Always back up your save game!

NOT SAVEGAME COMPATIBLE

What is Collision Rebalanced?
  /!\ NEW
Units in Bannerlord tend to glitch inside each other instead of properly having a fighting frontal line. This leads to multiple rows of units attacking and pushing and overlapping. This doesn't only look shitty it also doesn't play good and makes combat a lot shorter since every unit is attacking at the same time. Collision Rebalanced increases the collision size and unit spacing to offer fluffier combat with big thick rows of soldiers.

Why?

In the current state of the game, ranged weapon feel extremely opressive and slightly overpowered. A lot of heavily armoured units die extremely quick to arrow attacks. Reducing the amount of piercing damage normalizes the huge burst spikes when closing in on enemy formations protected by archers while still dealing normal damage to lightly armoured units like other archers, looters and the like.

Furthermore there is now a good reason to consider crossbows in some situations as they have a far higher base damage and the heavy crossbows even remain piercing completely.

About the new ammo

I added these new arrow and bolt types to alternate the role a bow or crossbow can play in battle. As of now only players use them but I hope we might get a possiblity to edit our unit equipments in the future. Thin arrows come with a lot of stacks but deal less damage, knockdown arrows can CC lightly armoured units like low level looters and t2 archers. Crushing bolts are a great tool to harrass enemy shieldlines and turtles - in exchange for a low number of available shots ending ranged harassment early and forcing to follow up with melee weapons.

I think giving ranged some new toys to play with will make the "nerfs" of this mod overall a little bit easier to endure. Enjoy!

Not happy with the changes?
Did you already see this?
*click*

Range Refine is a super fun to use alternative balance change without any Items added and stuff and I really had a blast playing with it.

Armor still too weak against arrows?
Why not try some REAL ARMOR
