Theoretically, it could work on 1.4.2, however as I’ve checked, the mod it is dependent on, Bear My Banner, hasn’t been updated for 1.4.2. If BmB still works in the beta, then it should. My mod doesn’t change any vanilla files - they only add upon them.
Can I request that you release something in between basic and lite - a version that includes everything except the units (so including the polearms and whatnot, as I would really like to custom integrate this with the Late Roman Army mod, and I will also refer this mod to that modder in case he wants to officially integrate it as an actual part of that mod - with your permission of course).
I could release something like that, but what exactly do you need from the basic version that isn't from Lite? I might try to add it there since it does feel a little bit starved of content. Making weapons seems like the hardest thing to do since I might have to change some item_usages text in order to create custom weapons from the banners.
I hear you, the only thing I would want from basic that isn't in light is the actual weapons/items that would be added. If these are already in Lite then actually Lite would be fine, I just want to custom place the items onto units (spear-banners for cavalry primarily) from the Late Roman Army mod. I'm not sure if BearMyBanner allows that as it is though.
Well, the reason why I haven't released the spear banners for other cav is that they don't ever try to use it, even if I made it so that the stats are identical or even better than their current weapons. It must be with the combat ai somehow, unless I opt with using the broken, non-animated flag mesh. Sure, I can place them on the lite version, but there is no guarantee that the AI troops will use them unless all other weapons are removed. I will try to find a way to circumvent this, however.
Lite has the basic banners that can be used as polearms - which is the one BearMyBanner applies to troops. I will be releasing an update soon that adds more variety to the banners, basically with exactly the same stats to some lances found in other troops. If you really want to try, you can do so, but I'm just leaving a warning regarding troop AI, they won't ever use it unless it's their only weapon.

Not sure why you made the Banner weapon so short though; i changed it to 400 reach instead of 100 and that works fine.
