HB Troops Overhaul
HB Troops Overhaul is a mod which seeks to balance the troop trees of the six main cultures while also maintaining cultural distinction between them. All six of the main cultures can now field infantry, ranged, and some form of cavalry from just their peasant troop lines. Additionally, the six noble troop lines have been changed so that Infantry, Ranged, and Cavalry of both types are represented.
Aserai
In addition to being able to field infantry, spears, light cavalry, and archers from their peasant troops, the Aserai nobles now upgrade into fearsome camel cavalrymen.
Battania
In addition to being able to field infantry, spears, light cavalry, and archers from their peasant troops, the Battanian Fian Champions are still the only Tier 6 Ranged troops available to any faction.
Empire
The simplest of all of the factions troop trees, the Empire can field infantry, crossbowmen, heavy cavalry, and mounted crossbowmen from their peasant lines, and Imperial nobles now can upgrade into the fearsome Legatus, a heavily armored tier 6 infantryman.
Khuzait
In addition to being able to field infantry, archers, light cavalry, and horse archers from their peasant troops, the Khuzait Khan's Guard are still the only Tier 6 Horse Archer troops available to any faction.
Sturgia
In addition to being able to field infantry, archers, heavy cavalry, and (shielded!) berserkers, the Sturgian nobles now can upgrade into the fearsome Huskarl Elites, a heavily armored tier 6 infantryman.
Vlandia
In addition to being able to field infantry, crossbowmen, light cavalry, and voulgiers from their peasant lines, the Vlandian Banner Knight is now the only tier 6 heavy cavalry available to any faction.
Additionally, the various bandit troop trees have been modded to upgrade into the appropriate new noble troop line (with the disciplinarian perk).
Finally, every troop tier 3 and above (and the vast majority of tier 2 troops) has had their skills, armor, and weapons changed to make them more perfectly aligned with their role.
Compatibility
HB Troops Overhaul should be compatible with any mod which does not affect the troop trees and loadouts of the troops of the six main factions and bandit factions.
Future Plans
1. Change the makeup of the parties that each lord and lady begins the game with to include HB Troops
2. Variety amongst each troop's equipment set
