About this mod

In Bannerlord, there are only 3 Camel saddles... and all 3 have the exact same stats: 10 armor (of type Leather).

Since horses can get harnesses of up to 65 and 75 Chainmail armor and Plate armor, 10 Leather armor for Camels is just pitiful in comparison.

This mod aims to correct this oversight.

DESCRIPTION
___________________________________
A simple mod to fix a simple problem: lack of decent Camel saddle/armors.

In Bannerlord, there are only 3 Camel saddles... and all 3 have the exact same stats: 10 armor (of type Leather). Since horses can get harnesses of over 60 armor, 10 Leather armor for Camels is just pitiful in comparison.

In this mod, the armor rating of the normal Camel Saddle is increased from 40 armor, and the Light Camel Saddle has been added to
the game (30 armor).

Additional higher-tier camel armor to come with future updates of this mod.

This mod makes no visual changes to the game. It simply adjusts some numbers to make riding Camels into battle a viable tactic.

UPCOMING FEATURES
___________________________________

Better, scarier camels. Seriously, Camels are hard to obtain. They should be more fun to ride! (This will be an optional feature, so you can still use just the Armor portion of the mod if you want to keep Camels the same)
DONE - Improved Camels mod has been released! I decided to keep it a separate mod, since there are different download options for the Improved camels. Download here:
https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/1725

INSTALLATION
___________________________________
1. Download the mod into your Bannerlord's Modules folder. (see section below if you have trouble finding this)
2. Extract the mod (with 7-zip or a similar software).
3. Enable the mod in the Bannerlord launch menu, like you would with any mod. Camel Armor is now enabled and you can now enjoy some sweet, sweet plate armor on your camels!

If you have any trouble with installation, please refer to my installation guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6ZtZArytoc&t=1m38s

Or post a comment on this mod page and I will respond.

MOD CONFLICTS (Video Explanation & Solution)
___________________________________

If the mod is extracted to the correct folder but nothing seems to have changed in game, most likely another mod is conflicting. For example, the "Armor does Something" mod might overwrite this mod (big thanks to nguyenlong311 for bringing this to my attention). In this case, just make sure that CamelArmor is at the bottom of your mod load order so its settings will take affect! See this Video Explanation.

HOW TO UPDATE
___________________________________
  • Download the updated version from this website on the right hand corner
  • GoTo your Bannerlord modules folder (.../steamapps/common/Mount & Blade II Bannerlord/Modules)
  • Find and Delete the old CamelArmor Folder
  • Extract the new mod version to the Modules folder
  • Start the the game from Steam
  • In the Launcher find and press Mods
  • Find "Camel Armor" and make sure its activated
  • Enjoy!

UNINSTALLING
___________________________________

Simply uncheck the mod in the mod menu in Launcher. You can safely enable and disable the mod at any time - it will not cause any issues to your save files.

PRO TIPS
___________________________________

If using my Aserai Overhaul mod, this mod indirectly buffs the Aserai due to their new camel troops line. The elite camel units come saddled with 65 armor :)

Where to find BANNERLORD MODULES folder
___________________________________

This is usually found in (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules)
If you are unable to find your modules folder, there is a simple method.
1. Go to your Steam games Library.
2. Right-click Bannerlord.
3. Click "Properties...".
4. When the menu pops up, click on the "LOCAL FILES" tab.
5. Click on "Browse Local Files..."
6. This will open up the location of your Bannerlord installation. Now, all you have to do is go into the 'Modules' folder and extract the mod there (using 7-zip or a similar software).
