Cossacks of Calradia

There will no longer be any future updates for this mod. All updates for this minor faction will be apart of this mod: VirtuallyIdiotics Minor Faction Pack

First off, this is not a realism mod or a mod to add in an actual unit tree of say Zaporozhian Cossacks. This is a mod that reworked the Eleftheroi troop tree. Why is it called then the Cossacks of Calradia then? Well, the Eleftheroi in both their original three units and lore shared many similarities to the Cossack culture. What I disliked about the vanilla minor factions is the lack of troop variation they possess creating a stale feeling to what they potentially could be.

The mod takes elements of the Cossack culture, Eleftheroi lore, as well as their vanilla troop tree. I wanted to give them a more diverse and live troop tree to expand upon their unique feel. The tree will start off with basic infantry unit. Since you tend to catch the Eleftheroi and other minor factions raiding, I thought it was appropriate to name them reyders. The Plastun is a ranged footman. They are not the strongest unit with mediocre armour at best but they are not as useless as your typical archer is in melee if the need arises. The Kazak is a light cavalry unit much like the mercenary scout and the Hussar is much like the mercenary horseman. The Zastrel'shchik is much like the Kazak but given a bow as well. The Ulan are similar to the original Eleftheroi top troops but with a little more bite this time.

This mod should work in both 1.3.0 and beta 1.4.0 as well as needing very little updating since it does not use certain file(s) that the main faction troop trees requires.

Works Well With:
Iron Arm of Vlandia, Sturgian DualityKhuzait Horsemasters and The Woods of Battania. Troop tree mods by Zaldiir. As well as The Mystic Sands, Imperial ReformBorn to be Wild, and Last of the Legion. Creating an even more unique yet balanced feel to your game.
