Introduction

My second mod after Polybian, I wanted to have nice shields to represent the customization of the equipment in the roman army.

Just like today, modern army have a badge to represent their unit, company, etc... It's very important for comradeship and integration.

Instead of a badge or a banner, I've modified the shields !

The inspiration come from Notitia Dignitatum and with the great help of Bullero from Late Roman Army (IV-V centuries) , we have created more than 100 custom design.

Since we're both modder with a taste for the roman history, this mod is made to work the best with our mods.

Either one or the other !

Description

Basically the mod does nothing by itself apart from having a PolybianConfig.xml in ModuleData.

There are currently only two units from the vanilla game in it:

Imperial Infantryman

Imperial Horseman

We have created two presets made for our respective mod:

One for Polybian

One for Late Roman Army (IV-V centuries)

Add your design ?

You can easily tweak the PolybianConfig !

Add your unit id between TroopId:

<TroopId>imperial_infantryman</TroopId>

Add your custom banner code between string:

<string>3.0.111.1536.1536.756.764.0.0.0</string>

Installation:

  • Download file manually, unpack it and put into Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules directory.
  • Activate mod in launcher
  • Download one of the preset and overwrite the PolybianConfig in Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules/BearMyShield/ModuleData

Future plan:

We are currently contacting different modders to ask them if we want to collaborate to this project.

Mostly roman aficionados but it can be done for any other troop tree, vanilla included !

Make the mod compatible with BearMyBanner or add banner, I need to learn a bit more C# before !

Introduction
