  • Spawn Chances and Bandit Compatibility

    Spawn Chance

    The spawn of new recruits is associated with settlement culture and onwer culture. By standart, these are the rates:

    Northern Empire
    Normal recruit: 75% chance
    Federate Stugian recruit: 10% chance
    Tagma - Excubitores recruit: 15% chance

    Southern Empire
    Normal recruit: 75% chance
    Federate Khuzait recruit: 10% chance
    Tagma - Scholaris recruit: 15% chance

    Western Empire
    Normal recrui: 75% chance
    Federate Battanian recruit: 10% chance
    Tagma - Hikanatos recruit: 15% chance

    These three factions will have 100% spawn chance of Federate troops in settlement of their respective cultures.

    Vlandia
    Normal recruit: 93% chance

  • Mod Features

    CTO's core concept is balancing. No faction is made to be superior than others. Each culture has some kind of advantage over others, that is, each has it's unique approach. That being said, I'd like to discuss here the concepts used to create and balance troops and troop trees.




    Troop Variety

    CTO's main feature is the expansion of all Native troop trees. New troops have been added according to the cultural theme of that faction. For example, Vlandians now have longbowmen, as they are heavily influenced by medieval English themes, thus, they would never have an unit such as horse archers in their retinue.
