I get an unexpected XML declaration error after modifying the code. How do I fix this?

To be fair, if you run a horse into a pitchfork, it should be dead. :P
But if you feel the need to buff cav in a bit more balanced way (especially since cav are the most OP units at the moment), I would suggest to improve the armor values of horse armor. That way, only horses with good armor could withstand fatal attacks like pitchfork thrust.
Though I don't really think it's necessary, since the AI in Vanilla has no idea how to use spears. On 300vs300 with spears vs cav on realistic, in my tests the cav only lost between 3-5 units while killing all spearmen. And those are real spears with shields (veretan infantrymen of Empire).
Yeah, it just removes the frustration of charging at a bunch of farmers only to be stopped by one holding a pitchfork. A decent spear can still kill your horse or you instantly if he ever learns how to aim. You can also lower the threshold a bit to like 100. And this solution allows more interesting choices: by removing the "Widegrip" property on swords and one-handed spears to only allow two-handed spears and pikes to stop horses, or remove the "Rearable" property on warhorses to make only non-warhorses stoppable (or camels for a joke). All can be done by simple editing of XML with no C# or DLLs involved. That would not be a single line edit though.
Hey! I don't really want to use Vortex so as you suggested I could change the value. What value does your mod use and how does the value effect the charge? For example if I double it what would happen?
It's just how high the damage needs to be to stop a horse. Default is 30, can be achieve by scratch fom hatches. Set to above the max hp of horses (usually around 250) to never let horses be stopped (they always die first). I set this to 1000. "Don't stop me" offers much more, and is a true mod, not one line of text. Mods have other drawbacks, though.

You can do it yourself. It can be done within a minute without any modding knowledge. Refer to the "Installation: 2.Do it yourself" on the description page.

I'm not sure if it is compatible...
But, could you please update the mod for the latest patches?
1.5.0 Main and 1.5.1 Beta?
Edit: Nevermind, it works!
Thanks!
