Adds a new troop tree based on the norman army of William the Conqueror(1066) into the game, with historical equipment. Replaces the Recruits/Squires from Vlandian culture settlements with new troops.

Basic recruit becomes - Miles minesteriales
Elite recruit becomes - Mounted armiger

Both player and AI Vlandian lords are able to recruit new units and upgrade them.

This mod is better to use with realistic difficulty.
ALSO: PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU THINK THAT TROOP TREE MAKES VLANDIAN FACTION TOO STRONG/WEAK

CURRENT VERSION OF MOD IS 1.2
1.1 Added elite household cavalry, and more variety of troops equipment. Fixed names.
1.2 Now Vlandia AI lords only have Norman troops and no vanilla ones. (Some vanilla ones will still exist but not more than 1% of total troops, because of misterious ways of recruitment, garrisons still will have like 20% of vanilla troops) More equipment variety added.

- Adds a new troop tree based on the Norman army of William the Conqueror (AD 1066, Norman conquest of England) into the game, with historical equipment.
- Replaces the Vlandian recruits (infantry line) from Vlandian Settlements with Miles minesteriales.
- Replaces the Squires (cavalry line) with Mounted armiger (in vanilla Squire recruits were available in horse producing villages)
- I tried to make it very balance friendly, to not allow empire dominate map too easy. (still needs testing and feedback)

Also to fully enjoy the mod, it is better to start new game. You can use it with your saves too, but once you going to overwrite your save file with this mod included you will be not able to launch it without this mod, So always do saves backup before using this mod.

You also may like my another mod which recreates Late Roman Army of IV - V centuries AD

CREDITS:
  • Thanks to @Sarissofoi for helping me to make this mod standalone.

Description:

  • Adds a new troop tree based on the Norman army of William the Conqueror (AD 1066, Norman conquest of England) into the game, with historical equipment.
  •  Replaces the Vlandian recruits (infantry line) from Vlandian Settlements with Miles minesteriales.
  •  Replaces the Squires (cavalry line) with Mounted armiger (in vanilla Squire recruits were available in horse producing villages)
  • Since AI recruiting enabled by default, I tried to make it very balance friendly, to not allow empire factions dominate the map too easy.
  • I tried to make troop tree which would be historical accurate and not balance breaking.
  • There are several troop tree branches which includes sword infantry/Lance infantry/archers/skirmishers/cavalry/horse archers/flagbearers
  • Now Vlandia AI lords only have Norman troops and no vanilla ones. (Some vanilla ones will still exist but not more than 1% of total troops, because of misterious ways of recruitment)

Reccomendations:

To add immersion, I reccomend to use this 2 mods which changes vannilla collors and banners of factions

Also to have realistic uniform colors I recommend to use this mod, which allows you to set up unit colors separately from flag colors
