      Simply by testing them and having better exception window/community fix crash log help me. Many of them still work. Others had updates since and fixes.

      Beta isnt as mod unfriendly as some haters would make it seem.

      Never install in manual! It just add possible blocked dlls issues. Get it with vortex and download the dll unlocked software you can find here on the site. The mod work it is likely dlls due to a manual install.

      And np :) Enjoy. But yea placed like my load order have it working.

      This was my problem. MCM page says its 3 mods need to go before the OFFICIAL 5 but SETTLEMENT ICONS needs to go before the MCM 3. If you put it in such order, SETTLEMENT ICONS goes before everything else, but then it references things that are found in the official 5. Because it loads before the OFFICIAL 5, it cannot find those threads. So you need to put SETTLEMENT ICONS under the OFFICIAL 5, and then put the MCM 3 under the SETTLEMENT ICONS. I hope this helps.

      I can confirm this mod as working with 1.4.3, but there does not seem to be any crown icons to denote "special troops" in settlements, which was the main draw of this mod for me. The quest/tournament and settlement produce type all work, just the crowns missing.

      It's probably because 1.4.3 has a bug with notables power. The mod should show crowns if a notable has over 200 power since that's when they can spawn noble units. If no notables can/do reach 200 the mod won't show crowns.

    I used this in the 1.4.2 Beta and now am using in 1.4.3 Beta. Everything works fine as long as you load it straight after all the official modules.
    Load Order:
    Native
    Sandbox Core
    Custom Battle
    Sandbox
    Story Mode
    SETTLEMENT ICONS
    ...
    ...

    EDIT: MOD WILL NOT WORK IF MCM IS LOADED ABOVE THE NATIVE FILES. MCM WILL STILL WORK HOWEVER WHEN LOADED AFTER SETTLEMENT ICONS IN THE ORDER ABOVE.

    HOW TO FIX CRASHES ON 1.4.1 !

    Okay, now that I have your attention…
    From the other comments, it appears to be an issue with load order. More specifically, MCM and DCC. DCC uses MCM so that’s no surprise. Here is how the top of your load order should look to avoid crashes : https://i.imgur.com/MSaBFIu.png

    Basically : load it AFTER Native but BEFORE anything MCM-related. You can use Vortex for mod ordering, just remember to lock Settlement Icons, MCM and DCC’s positions so auto-sorting doesn’t mess it up every time. As far as I can tell, placing MCM and DCC right after Native doesn’t break anything.

      I have no issue with 1.4.1

      mod orders looks like this :

      * the 5 natives
      * the 3 MCM
      * Modlib
      * save missing files
      * editor mods (things like developer consol, edit lord etc)
      * SETTLEMENT ICON
      * other mods that change interface (equipment in encyclopédia , enhenced party screen, fast dialogue, shoulder cam etc)
      * any fixes or tweak in game mecanics (changing skills, diplomacie , xp, bannerlord tweak and that kind of stuff)
      * mods that change troops or troops tree
      * community fix (the last version, put it at last)

      remember to unlock all .DLL files, for windows: use PowerShell commands :
      dir -Path "your bannerlord folder" -Recurse | Unblock-File
      (keep the " " but put the adress of your bannerlord foler)

      this way seems to work well, very few crash and I got like 20 mods (some crash after hours of playing, but without any exception message error)
      vortex or fixed launcher auto mods order doesn't really do a good job if you use mods that don't properlly code their submodule order specificly for it.
      finding the right order manually can be a pain in the ass, but when you got it, it is smooth !

      Use vortex mod manager, you'll see load order at the very bottom, arrange automatically by clicking auto sort or manually by hover to the listed mod and drag them around

      It was still working for a while after 1.4.1, but it was broken by a hotfix.

      I can get it to work for 1.4.1 based on load order of MODS.
      Mod list:
      1-5 = 5 core game
      6 = Settlement Icons
      7-9 = 3 parts of MCM 3.1.6 (3.1.4 if running Mixed Gender Troop/Companions)
      10+ = other mods if any.

      Yeah it fixed the crash.
      i remove fixed launcher from my modules then as follow:
      Native modules,
      settlement icons,
      3 MCM mods,
      DCC,
      the rest of the mods then lastly Bannerlord tweaks.

      i remove fixedlauncher as it overrides load order on every launch.

      It is indeed a conflict with MCM 3.1.6, fix: load SettlementIcons before(higher) MCM, dont know exactly why but it works
      Just in case someone googles the actual error message in the logs: Cannot find texture: ui_custom_1

      I tried moving it to the very top before MCM and I get this error message:

      A mod assembly "SettlementIcons, Version=1.2.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null" caused a problem while loading types, likely because it references types or assemblies that are not present.

      I think that error is because you pu Settlement Icons before the native modules(Native, sandbox etc). Your order should be something like:
      *Mods saying to load before native*, Native, SandBox Core, CustomBattle, Sandbox, Settlement Icons, MCM

      The new DCC update says to put it all the way at the bottom. There is, no longer, a !DCC folder. Just the zzCharacterCreation folder.

      Check the mod's article section and the updated installation instructions.
