Permissions and credits
The pesants are in revolt!! Hundreds of them are rampaging over the countryside!! Not only that, but the rebellious Rhodoks have gotten their hands on a new weapon, the "Pistol", that they are using to devastating effect against all enemies. Where these weapons come from, nobody knows, but certain adventurers have recently gotten their hands on them, although they have yet to learn how to use them properly. Also, Rhodok infantry have taken on new heart and while still dressed in rags have begun to fight with the strength of demons!!

To install, just unzip the folder into your ModulesNative directory. This will overwrite the following files: item_kinds1.txt; Modules.ini; Scripts.txt; troops.txt and party_templates.txt. Originals for the latter three are also included and copying these back should revert the game to normal. A new game will need to be started for all features of this mini mod to be implemented.

Thanks to the excellent troops and items editor mods (must haves really...) for allowing me to do this and to TheMageLord on the forums for his excellent advice on modding party size scripts.

***Bug warning. If the player character uses a pistol (which will need to be taken from a companion), the ammunition will not replenish, even after the combat. The only way around this appears to be to give the ammo to a companion go into another battle. This seems to prompt M&B to replenish the ammo and you can retrieve it fully loaded after the battle. Kinda a pain, but then again firearms have never been a core part of the code.


[rule] Features[rule]
  • Looter parties now range between 75 to 300 members
  • Rhodok faction revamped with spear wielding troops having increased skills and abilites, iorn skin, power strike, and athletics (up to five in each skill for sargeants and 150 points of skill as well).
  • Rhodok crossbowmen are now called "pistoliers" and equipped with pistols and have higher skill levels & abilities as well.
  • Different strength cartridges should mirror previous crossbow damage, although rate of fire will be slightly slower, but they can now carry a shield and firearm.
  • Rhodok armour stays the same, reflecting thier peasant origins.
  • Companions all start with a pistol and ammo, but no skill in firearms.
  • Pistol accuracy has been increased to 90% and four levels of "cartridge have been included, to simulate the four levels of Crossbows.
  • Companions all start at level 1, although with same stats and skills as previously.
  • Party size and prisoner capacity have been greatly increased.
  • Companion and PC XP awarded is now 5, not 2 and time speed in has been increased.
