I underestimated the level of effort it would take to put this model over Johnny's. The concept of utilizing 1 material is potentially there but I actually found it easier to work with split materials based on what the car had to offer like trims, inner, wheels and others. The Delorean model had over 100 different pieces and 30 materials to manipulate. Including numerous pieces that had to utilize the windows material since that is the only one that has BLENDMODE set to translucent. The textures have been drastically scaled down across the board with the original mod being around 250mb. A lot of texture changes to get to this point but its functioning enough to release with back to the future johnny who should be here in a day or two.
I decided to package this up separately from Back to the future johnny because of 2 reasons.
Reason 1
- There is a bit more stress on the game to load the car up and I don't know if everyone necessarily wants that.
Reason 2
- There is a small bug with the rear left wheel where it shakes uncontrollably during the final scene of the drive away.
Overall I was semi-pleased with how it turned out. I almost did not publish this but as my time making mods slows down, I am not sure if I will keep iterating on it or let it be. I figured I can at least share it to those that are interested.

- Improved understanding of reading the materials files in notepad

- Car weights and sizing over original cars different shape
Known Bugs
Delorean
- Car is not the same size so there is some windshield peaking to allow it to break
- Rear left tire vibrates when it drives away
- Loading time could be more efficient
