Nexus site beta ready - help us help you
Think of it like you would a house: You have a house. It has 2 bedrooms, it's old, decrepit and falling apart. You want a better house, with more rooms, an extension, a conservatory and lots of mod cons on the same patch of land. You can try and build on and extend your old house, but it's likely that at some point all the new extensions and additions you make to the house will make your old, decrepit house fall in on itself from all the load and burden you're placing on it. You don't want your house to be held together by sticky tape and band aids, or be afraid of it falling down at any moment! So what you do is demolish the old house, reset the foundation and rebuild the house brick by brick to your new specifications. That's what we've done. We've rebuilt the site brick by brick, but better, and with massive room to grow.
Before we roll-out this new code we would really love your help in testing it out. We want you to jump all over it, and try out all the features on the site to make sure they work exactly like they do right now on the Nexus sites, because as much as we test it, there are things that you do that we don't! And it's impossible for us to test every eventuality. To that end we have setup a Beta Site which is a mock-up of TESNexus. It is using completely dummy, test data. This means all the data on the site, and anything you add or change will NOT be live on any Nexus site and you're safe to test things with test data without having to worry about affecting the general operation of any of the Nexus sites. Feel free to add, upload, modify and delete to your heart's content because it will not affect any of the content available on the Nexus sites.
The beta site should look and behave exactly like the current sites. We haven't made any major changes to the looks or functionality of the sites, so it should be practically like-for-like, and if it isn't, it's a bug which we need to squash! If you find a bug then please use our bug tracker to let us know and we'll get it fixed ASAP! So please, take 15 minutes out of your busy schedule to help us beta test the new code, because the sooner we roll-out the code the sooner we can start adding some really awesome new functionality to the sites.
This beta test is important as it enables us to iron out bugs before we roll out the code to the sites. If we don't know about a bug then we can't fix it, and you'll come across it on the live site (which might have worse implications!), so help us to help you!
So hurry up and help us ensure the transition is as smooth as possible by using every feature you can think of on our beta site.

so no way to change sort order. Looks fine in IE.
One thing is to see nude characters, another thing is the risk of tesnexus becoming really cheap!!
With one BIG exception: The popup-window to select the download server doesn't work (on the tablet). It pops up but when one tries to tap on the city/country nothing happens. If you then zoom in and start to pan, because you think you didn't quite hit the link, the background, e.g. the Nexus page moves, but you still can't tap on the choosen download source. I know this is complaining an a high level and it really is a luxury feature on a free fan and support forum. It might even be my android browser preventing me. Who knows. Just wanted to let you know.
Love the work and effort you guys put into this. It really improves my gaming experience.
For example, if we got by http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp Statistics they show that 85% of their visitors have screen resolutions larger than 1024x768. Not only that, with tablets and other devices becoming ever so more popular, it would be great to have a site that can expand dynamically or take up a % of the screen, and possibly change biased on the screen resolution.
Even tho im apparently in the top 4% that have 1980 x 1200 resolution, the site leave a lot of extra space that could be taken up. Like the other 81% of users :-)
Also Glad to see the w3 standards being embraced a lot more by sites. Well done Nexus team. :-)
"Remember Me" is a choice people who sign in should have to add a tick mark too. Especially people who have a router with two or more computer's. The box next to, "Remember Me" should not be ticked unless they choose to have it ticked. It even says right next to and under it, "Not Recommended you are on a shared computer."
That mean's if you have a Mom and Pop computer/Brother's and Sister's Shared/Community Shared computer (one computer for all your friend's and they all have an account, "private account's on a Shared on one computer) UN TICK that box next to, "Remember Me?"
If they don't care if their router or Modem with Wired/Wireless Router unit's acts as transition point on their computer LAN set up it should not be ticked anyway.
I studied this because Robin, because on one occasion he told me to remove the tick mark when I log in.
Other sites i have visited have the box blank so the person may choose it if they understand what the, "Remember Me" function does.
Set the Forum and any other log in or Sign in function that has a "Remember Me" box visible, or not, turned off so it is up to the member's to choose it.
It says right next to and under, "Remember Me?" "Not Recommended for Shared Computer's." That mean's if you have one computer shared by each family member who all have their own personal account, UN Tick that Box next to, "Remember Me."
And that only goes to reason that if you have a router with several computers with other account's it would be best not to leave that box ticked, or as we like to call it in the U. S. of A. "Checked."
Un-check the box next to, "Remember me" if you have one computer with many users on the same machine.
