Quoting Oblivion's "Radiant" dialogues is not quite as stale as an Arrow To The Knee joke, but it's certainly passe in the 20s -- even if the general disdain for Oblivion is still merited. But in 2007, having that attitude belonged to the trailblazers. Censorship and bannings for Oblivion criticism were common on the ESF, and the masses bought into Oblivion's hype and mindlessly enjoyed the game. But there existed those with more critical tastes, including fans of the previous Elder Scrolls games and RPGs in general -- Cow Guru being one of them.
Snakes on a Plane is rife with fun-poking and although the main target is of course Oblivion, there are jabs at the silly EXTREMEâ„¢ marketing of Mass Effect, and more obscure references to a certain internet forum (from where many of these jokes find their origins and influences.)
A short-and-sweet experience which calls back to older times. If you don't get the references it could come across as immaculate in its silliness. If you do recognise the references, you'll probably experience it more as a product of its time and reminisce over simpler times.
(Also unlike Muffinwind I could actually complete this in OpenMW!)
Theres a glitch on me where after the muffin boat sinks and u talk to samuel and the muffin teleports u to a new area, samuel starts dieing and then he gets back up, and then he dies again and that just keeps happening.
"*Slow clap* ....interesting?... But, to make this mod increasingly popular I recommend you put a Sam Jackson guy in there. In any case this deserves my honorable promise of 8/10. Good job."
Oh, he's in there. A notoriously unorthodox Redguard Blade sergeant. My only regret is that he didn't have to hand in his sword and gun at some point.
