Even at speed 10, it's still faster than sails and sales which is very nice. 2,000,000 septims for the ship ? It's unreachable in normal gameplay, I guess you can always cheat at the console for that, but still... (or eventually with a mod which gives a lot of uber equipement that you could sell to the special buyer in Caldera mansion, but even like that it would take very long, crazy price, really. But for those who avoid this buyer because they want a reasonable economy, it's unreachable). A big drawback : incompatible with Beautiful cities of morrowind, the boat starts merged with the docks in ebonheart you can see just its prow appearing. Another problem : in the original mod you could disable the damage which is really a good thing in some areas all the north and west region of vvanderfell in fact where there are so many tiny rocks that it becomes a nightmare to avoid everything here. It's that or doing a map modification to remove a big part of these rocks, bethesda didn't think a lot when they added so many rocks in these areas.
Is there anyway to take this concept and apply it to the Dwemer submarine, make it submergible, and give it a water breathing enchantment on the player??? And if possible be able to access the interior while it is submerged…??? That would be pretty cool!!! Scripting isn’t my thing or I would give it a shot but someone needs to get on that!!! Thanks for uploading! I never got around to it and it somehow didn't make it to my archive that I have dragged around for years. Felt nostalgic desire to maybe play MW and thought I'd lost the mod forever.
Nice mod, but in my opinion the interior has WAY too much hull barrels and this sound activator is just too damn loud, I go crazy after five minutes from this creaking sound, maybe it should be lowered so it would be more distand sound
Encountered a possibly game breaking bug: sometimes (I'm not sure what triggers it) the Sailing effect that the boat gives you sticks after you dismount the boat. The boat becomes unusable, too - you cannot mount it again in this state. "SetWaterWalking 0" has no effect on it, so you're basically unable to go underwater ever again. I'm working out possible workarounds, but if the authors of the mod have any helpful ideas, I'd really appreciate it! Please comment if you saw anything similar and know a solution for this bug!
OK, after using a few scripts I was able to remove the Sailing effect from the player. Still can't activate the boat, though. Terminating KS_SR_Boat_Script or matching other parameters to the "landed" state doesn't help.
would it be possible to get the AI to pilot a ship? perhaps even have ship to ship battles? have cannons that damage the other ship, and maybe some way to grapple and board the enemy boat? if that's possible, it would be one o fhte greatest mods ever conceived by mankind!
Sorry to reply to this nine years later, but you could make them some sort of creature that casts fireball spells. Giving them permanent waterwalking would give the illusion that it's floating... It could be done.
Sailed from Ebonheart to Sadrith Mora. It needed some tweaking by removing menhirs (srsly what's up with the geography in the eastern Vvardenfell archipelago, what kind of geological or magical even shaped that place or is it made by the eccentric Telvanni to keep ships away but how would they sail their own ships in a place like that?) A few alterations to the sea bottom was required in the inlets around Sadrith Mora. But in the end I was able to sail the ship straight up to the docks.
Simply amazing feeling, and with Tamriel Rebuilt there are some extraordinary views to be seen on the way. It's probably much less of a hassle to handle the ship on the western coast of Vvardenfell.
Haven't had the ship disappear for me yet and the general feel of the mod is great.
Same, the ship eventually disappears and sets the player to water walk for infinity lol Wish this wasn't the case as it was going well until 10 minutes of sailing, doubt this problem will be addressed or fixed
