About this mod
This patch adds audiobook versions of the 'Gospels of' series of texts from Tamriel Rebuilt (including Rilms, Felms, Aralor, and others). It is designed for use with the 'Audiobooks of Tamriel Rebuilt' mod by Frogstat, and requires the original mod to function.

This is my first ever mod and more of an experiment than a polished project — but also a sincere encouragement to bring more of the wonderful literature from Tamriel Rebuilt to life as audiobooks, for fellow fans of Morrowind-era writing and lore.
💬 Why I Made This
I'm a huge fan of the in-game books in Morrowind. One of the best things about Tamriel Rebuilt is how it continues this literary tradition with a wealth of new, high-quality texts. Some of the writing in Tamriel Data, when combined with the base game, honestly ranks among the finest fantasy literature I've read in any medium.
That's why I’m also a big admirer of Frogstat’s Audiobooks of Tamriel Rebuilt mod — it’s wonderful being able to listen to this literature while playing, allowing you to experience the stories without pausing the gameplay. To my knowledge, all the base game books have audiobook versions now, but only a fraction of the Tamriel Data texts have been covered — understandably so, given the vast number of them.
🛠️ About This Patch
Frogstat mentioned in the comments that they’re not currently working on the mod, but helpfully provided instructions on how to add new audiobooks via the Lua script. It’s a very simple process and doesn’t require any knowledge of the Construction Set — you don’t even need to open it. All that’s needed is the in-game item ID and the path to the corresponding `.mp3` file.
Here’s the original example from Frogstat - this needs to be added to the "audiobook.lua" via notepad (all lower case must be used).
"In local sound_map, add the book as follows:
t_bk_dunmerilawprimertr = "Vo\\Audiobook\\Dunmer_law_a_primer.mp3",
-- The left side is the book ID, the right is the path to the MP3 file."
I can confirm this works.
So, I’ve taken the opportunity to add the “Gospel Of” series of in-game books from Tamriel Rebuilt as audiobooks. This patch includes:
- The Gospel of Saint Aralor
ID: T_Bk_GospelOfSaintAralorTR50Description: The story of Saint Aralor the Penitent - The Gospel of Saint Delyn
ID: T_Bk_GospelOfSaintDelynTR50Description: The story of Saint Delyn the Wise - The Gospel of Saint Felms

🛠️ Installation
Simply copy and paste the contents of "The Gospels of Tamriel Rebuilt Audiobooks" folder into the "Audiobooks of Tamriel Rebuilt" folder overwriting the files as necessary. This will add the new mp3 files and the additional lines of script
🎧 Notes on Style & Recording
Given the religious and reverent tone of Dunmeri scripture, I’ve opted for a slow, priestly, gravelly vocal style to preserve the sacred atmosphere of these texts in audio form.
I'd love to see more people contributing to this audiobook project. I used a paid ElevenLabs subscription to generate these recordings, but I’ve already hit my character limit. However, anyone can get 10,000 free characters with a new account. That's enough for a few of the smaller texts at least.
If we all pitch in, maybe one day we can have a complete audiobook library of Tamriel Data! It’s probably too much to expect one person — like Frogstat — to do it all alone. But it might just be something the community can accomplish together.
