Daedric Numeral Assets
by Viga

The creation of Daedric numerals 0-9 is credited to Llevndryn Sershilavu (Naka) from the original website https://arador-dayn.fr/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=449.  For the development of my pocket watch mod Time Keepers I needed notation for numerals 10 and up.

In the post, Naka had this to say about 10s:

"Finally, we must address the numbers and figures. These come ten in number, although the zero is represented by Oht which then has a different function than symbolizing a sound. It is also used to mark the ten. To form the numbers, a figure is placed to the left to represent the tens, and another one to the right for units."

There was one visual depiction of the 1 and 0 next to each other, but that representation of 10 did not match the description.  I used this description to create the 10s, and from there the 20s, 30s, etc, up to 1000.

Why is this an asset you ask?  See my two recent mods Time Keepers and The Unseen Passages for examples of how these can be used.  But there are a number of things you could do with them (pun intended).  You could explore Daedric numerology, replace Dunmer textures that use Imperial numbers with Daedric ones, or create a DaVinci Code like mystery (Davinisi or Da'Vinzi may be more appropriate).

This package includes:
  • Meshes of the numbers.  The meshes have a small depth to them, so they are 3D.
  • Images of the numbers, in groups of 20.
  • The numeral key showing how the tens and hundreds are written

Meshes
The meshes can be used on their own, but they are better used by incorporating them into your own meshes.  They can be added to columns, walls, etc.  The package does not include textures because the default texture for these meshes is tx_daed_block.dds.

Images
These cannot be used on their own.  The images are black and white so the outline of each numeral can easily be selected using an image editor and can be added on to your textures.
