Purpose: Force Equip Armor For Beasts is a simple OpenMW 0.49 Lua script for Khajiit and Argonian players in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It lets beast race characters cycle through boots, helmets, and shoes in their inventory and equip or unequip them with keybinds, bypassing vanilla game restrictions.
When you press the corresponding key it equips boots, helmets, and shoes. "B" key, it cycles through all boots. "N" key, it cycles through all Helmets. "M" key, it cycles through all Shoes. When pressing the corresponding key it unequips the item then equips next item with the next press.
It should also work with any mod that adds boots, shoes, and helmets.
Installation: Unzip: Extract BeastRaceForceEquip.zip to a folder you choose (e.g., [YourFolder]/BeastRaceForceEquip). Edit Config: Open openmw.cfg (in C:/Documents/My Games/OpenMW/), add these lines with your folder path: data="[YourFolder]/BeastRaceForceEquip" content=BeastRaceEquip.omwscripts
OR: Unzip: Extract BeastRaceForceEquip.zip to a folder you choose (e.g., [YourFolder]/BeastRaceForceEquip). In your OpenMW launcher, go to the Data Directories tab, click "Append" on the right, and select the folder that has the .omwaddon file in it. Make sure you've enabled it in the Content Files tab.
Notes: Replace [YourFolder] with wherever you put it (e.g., C:/document/Mods or D:/Mods).
