About this mod
Removes all Powers (spells usable once per day) from birthsigns and replaces them. Adds additional positive effects during birthmonth. Removes Serpent birthsign and adds serpent variant to other birthsigns.

I have not taken the time to balance the effects of this mod yet. If anyone has recommendations on how to rebalance, I am open to suggestions.
I recommend using my Fatigue-Based Spells mod together with this one. With that mod, you will not be able to cast the spells that cost fatigue when you do not have enough fatigue to cast them. Without that mod, you will be able to cast them, but will collapse when you do not have enough fatigue.
I personally do not like powers as a mechanic, so I have removed them. There have been some other changes. With respect to Sensible Birthsigns I have changed the following things:
- The Lady
-- Weak Shoulders: Burden 50 pts.
- The Lover
-- Lover's Kiss: This is a spell now, which costs 50 fatigue to cast and paralyzes for 5 seconds on touch.
- The Ritual
-- Holy Word: This is a spell now, which costs 40 fatigue and turns undead for 10 pts for 30 seconds on touch.
-- Death Ward: This is a spell now, which costs 100 fatigue and restores 30 health for 5 seconds on self.
- The Tower
-- Beggar's Nose: This is an ability now, which detects everything detectable in a radius of 50 ft.
-- Warden's Hand: This is an ability now, which fortifies Security by 25 points.
The Serpent birthsign has been removed entirely. Instead every other birthsign has a Serpentine variant. This variant has a constant drain of 10 points on Luck. Every month a random attribute (other than Luck) is chosen to be fortified 10 points throughout that month.
In lore The Serpent constellation does not show up during its own month, but rather erratically shows up at random times (so when another constellation is also dominating the sky). The ones born under The Serpent constellation are said to be blessed and cursed — so they suffer a drain on luck, but are blessed with random, changing attribute boosts.
Also every birthsign gets an additional effect during its birthmonth:
- The Ritual, Morning Star: Resist Magicka 10%
- The Lover, Sun's Dawn: Fortify Agility 10 pts
- The Lord, First Seed: Fortify Endurance 10 pts
- The Mage, Rain's Hand: Fortify Willpower 10 pts
- The Shadow, Second Seed: Fortify Sneak 10 pts
- The Steed, Midyear: Fortify Speed 10 pts
- The Apprentice, Sun's Height: Fortify Intelligence 10 pts
- The Warrior, Last Seed: Fortify Strength 10 pts
- The Lady, Hearthfire: Fortify Personality 10 pts
- The Tower, Frostfall: Fortify Security 10 pts
- The Atronach, Sun's Dusk: Fortify Magicka 0.8×INT
- The Thief, Evening Star: Fortify Luck 10 pts
The game's starting month is, in Vanilla, Last Seed, so The Warrior will start the game in their birthmonth.
