This mod should work with both regular Morrowind and OpenMW and should be loaded after any mod that modifies the same files.
Be aware that using this mod may result in a less atmospheric game, depending on your settings.
Did you know that Morrowind not only has light sources, but "dark sources" as well? These are normally a nice atmospheric addition, but they can turn out to be really ugly under certain conditions. The screenshots on this page are of my install which uses True Light and Darkness and normal maps for every single texture, which results in those big blotchy shadows that can't even be lit up by placing light sources next to them. These really confused me at first until I checked the shadowy spots in the Creation kit and figured out that those are caused by actual literal darkness emitters, which I decided to just "remove". I am not sure how much this would affect the overall atmosphere of the game, I checked a bunch of locations which use those dark sources and they honestly don't appear to do too much appart from creating ugly ligh-absorbing black holes, at my least on my install.
