About this mod
Last versions (1.6.5 Beta) of Morrowind Patch Project (MPP), uploaded for ease of search (I am not the author). This is an alternative to the Patch for Purists that may work for older saves.
Includes:
1) Morrowind Patch v1.6.5 BETA (9/20/2009) by ThePal, Baldurdash, and quorn
2) Updated version of v1.6.5 BETA by BTB

The original 1.6.5 Beta mod is uploaded for reference, but the "edited" BTB version should be used, which includes both the original and edited ESMs.

Morrowind Patch v1.6.5 BETA (9/20/2009)

This is the succession of the unofficial morrowind patch 1.6.3b which continues the hunt for errors and inconsistencies left in the master files. A huge effort on the parts of everyone involved past and present! Thousands of errors corrected.
This plug-in incorporates the original Unofficial Morrowind Patch, you do not need the original Morrowind Patch v1.6.3b. The release notes for the unofficial morrowind patch 1.6.3b is included.
This plug-in has also incorporated all of the appropriate fixes from Baldurdash's Morrowind Text Patch, save for books. Books haven't been corrected, as the intentions of the UMP were that books could have errors, or so said.
All of the bugfix content from the VGreetings series has been addressed by the Morrowind Patch Project. None of the extra features are included, and upon testing, the Morrowind Path Project and VGreetings are very compatible.
Installation:
Unzip archive into the Morrowind Directory.
2) Edited readme:
This is the 1.6.5 beta version of the Morrowind Patch Project. It remains in "beta" status due to the mysterious and untimely disappearance of Quarn, the man responsible for maintaining it. It has been out for so long, however, that both of the problems it presents have been identified and dealt with.
The way I have dealt with these problems is by editing the patch to remove the problematic changes made by the original file. This edited file is labeled "BTB Edit" (natch), and is located in the "data files" folder along with the original MPP master file. It is to be used instead of the original file.
For the curious, the two problematic edits that I removed are as follows:
• An attempt to fix the behavior of the "Pilgrim's Path" book resulted in CTDs when attempting to read it from your inventory. Note that this problem is not unique to the latest version of the MPP.
• Edits to the "Threads of the Webspinner" dialogue rendered it impossible to receive Mephala's Skill.
• I also went and fixed some dialogue from Bloodmoon that threw some dude out into the middle of the ocean or some shit when you got done talking to him. Or something. I forget the details, honestly.
