I changed the blight disease in several ways:

All of them gives some advantage AND negative effects, just like the lore says - it makes beast stronger, so why when I got the blight I got weaker?
It makes no sense to me.

My vision:

Now Blight disease is a failed biological experiment of Dagoth Ur while he was developing Corprus disease and transformation into ash creatures. Failed - as it did not provide immunity to disease and ageing like corprus. Dagoth Ur is insane after all -  in his eyes, he is doing a good job - offering biological immortality to his followers. It does not matter that they suffer.

From Uesp:

"Ash-woe is an acute blight disease affecting a victim's will and thought processes. It may be contracted from corprus beasts or other blighted creatures."

Now it provides superior intelligence (25-50) and willpower and telekinesis. It improves brain.

"Ash-chancre is an acute blight disease affecting a victim's behavior. It may be contracted from corprus beasts or other blight monsters."

Now it provides charming personality, ADHD-like restore stamina, and bold luck.

"Black-heart is an acute blight disease affecting a victim's strength and endurance. It may be contracted from corprus beasts or other blight monsters."

Now it provides giant strength and endurance, high jump.

"Chanthrax is an acute blight disease affecting a victim's dexterity and mobility. It may be contracted from corprus beasts or other blight monsters."

Now it provides great dexterity and speed, dodge (sanctuary effect).

the negatives are all the same:

1. Blind 10-25: it makes sense, as not only the dust can get into eyes, but many Dagoth Ur servants have no eyes...

2. Sound 10-100: You hear voices in Your head all the time, call of Dagoth Ur. Forget about concentration.

3. Weakness to common disease 25-150: Failed experiment remember? (I plan to overhaul common disease too later, so it will come handy)

4. Sun damage 1-15: Ash.. Vampires, now it makes sense. There is a reason why most of the Dagoth Ur monsters live a) underground, b) near giant ash producing vulcano. Maybe Dagoth Ur used vampirism as a source of his blight?

If You look at the effects, they may be the result of experiments on Berne, Quarra and Aundae vampires.

Blight may be an airborne vampirism disease with a touch of divinity.

It also means that light is leathal to all blighted creature. YES! Cliff racers will die during the day, and You will sometimes see dead creatures on the road, the more blight the more dead on the isle.

If You use my other mod - Climates of Morrowind You will not like to travel at night (especially with blind effect!), so blight is a serious problem, although powerful.

One last effect is positive:

Restore health 1-3 (not enough to survive the sun, but handy in dungeons and night). I like to imagine the corprus meat as somekind of immortal zerg tissue. Blight was going to be the cure for ageing and disease, so regeneration explains a lot.

-------------------------------

I believe that my mod also explains why the Tribunal was defeated and no other powerful ancient wizards could not try to eliminate this very real treat to their way of life.

Remember - sound effect, perfect for eliminating mages - so remember to bring potions! Corprus cure gives immunity to blight disease, but before that blight is dangerous.

Now... Imagine getting blight during the  day and trying to cast a recall or cure... You will burn through magic, and lose time, while Your tissue burns from UV light.

One thing: it may kill Corprus stalkers, etc. around Red Mountain, there are two ways to bypass this (or even allow it, wandering around vulcano toxic gas is deadly, Corprus or no): add regen effect strong enough or/and make weaker sun around blight.
