Got it working on OpenMW 0.49 using manual install method.
1. Download Kezyma's Voices of Vvardenfell here: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/52279
2. Follow installation instructions for Kezyma's Voices of Vvardenfell here: https://kezyma.github.io/?p=voicesofvvardenfell (don't use mod manager, backup folder if necessary)
3. Download OpenMW Lua Helper Utility and follow install instructions in description here: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/54629
4. Download OpenMW Voices of Vvardenfell Patch and follow install instructions in description here: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/54137
5. Download Tamriel Rebuilt Voices and extract AIV folder into Morrowind\Data Files\Sound\Vo\ (Look inside AIV folder to make sure you're overwriting folders named argonian, brenton, dark elf, etc.)
6. In OpenMW modlist, make sure OpenMW_luahelper.esp is directly below Tamriel_data.esm & TR_Mainland.esm. Below OpenMW_luahelper.esp should be OpenMW_luahelper.omwscripts, then below that OpenMW_luahelper_dialog.esp. Finally, place VoV OpenMW.omwscripts at the very bottom of your modlist (not sure where this loads best)
7. Run the game.
Comment below if you run into any issues and I'll try to troubleshoot.
in step 5, you mean to extract the AIV folder to Morrowind\Data Files\Sound\Vo\, OR the contents of the AIV folder into said location, ie. argonian, breton, etc. I ask because i extracted AIV to said location and followed your instructions to the letter and it does not seem to have worked unless this mod does not cover all dialogue in tamriel rebuilt and i just happened to try dialogue without audio. I am on OpenMW btw obviously. Also i was only able to get the optional file for the openMW voices of Vvardenfell to work, using the main file did not allow the audio to play for some reason, could this possibly be why this mod doesn't work for me? I am also using 0.48.0 build of openMW.
Did u get it? you copy aiv to aiv. you want to add to whats there. And wow this sounds really freaking good. this is awesome. Ty for the instructions bc i was struggling a little
Make sure to download the tamriel rebuilt esp file for the dialog helper, I overlooked the damn thing and struggled for hours because of my own stupidity.
Thank you <3 I'm running OpenMW and it works perfectly. It's even better than Kezyma's voices because I'm running a lot of LGNPC and other dialogue mods and thus many of the Vvardenfell lines don't play. But for TR there is little to no dialogue expansions, so all the voicelines can play.
A really good addition for morrowind, especially for those who like immersion, only caveat is the complicated process of instalation, you need to go step by step properly, especially for openmw, haven't found any bugs so far so 8/10 would recommend for everyone
Huge respect and thx for this amazing mod. Especially the update!
If you don't mind sharing: How exactly did you achieve this wizardry? I tried the approach you outlined in the description, but it seems like that was for the old version. To me the new voices sound indistinguishable from something produced by ElevenLabs. So when you said:
working on better sounding voices, to me they sound much more natural and closer to ElevenLabs quality
you definitely delivered!
I remember reading you wouldn't do SHOTN, and if that's still true I'd be more than willing to pick up the torch. Maybe even voice the latest release of Project Cyrodiil. If only I knew how. Tried many different TTS solutions and nothing could achieve this level of quality (except for ElevenLabs). So any hints would be greatly appreciated!
This time I used AllTalk TTS , which helped me to get pronunciation more closer to original voice actors (but not the exactly correct tone), I had to train model for every voice (20 voices) in AllTalk TTS, after i got audio files from it I run second pass on those files through Applio (to get more accurate tone of a voice) and used models i trained in Applio (so another 20 models)
Thanks for the information! I’ll give that approach a shot—it sounds complex, but the results are definitely worth it. By any chance, do you still have those models saved somewhere?
