About this mod

An OPENMW mod that treats the Races of Vvardenfell right by, giving them bonuses and balance changes to make each race feel more unique and balanced. Vanilla Morrowind flavoring.

Race Adjustments:
General Beast Race Buff
All Beast Races (Argonians and Khajiit) now possess a flat 15% Resistance to Normal Weapons to compensate for their inability to wear boots or closed helmets.
Argonian
As amphibious beings, Argonians thrive in aquatic environments. They now swim significantly faster than they move on land, emphasizing their natural element.
  • Resist Poison: 75%
  • Resist Disease: 25%
  • Weakness to Shock: 25%
  • Water Strider (Lesser Power): Grants Swift Swim and Water Breathing for 120 seconds.
  • Histskin (Power): Regenerates Health Rapidly, grants 50% Resistance to Normal Weapons, but applies a Stunted Magicka effect after expiration.
Breton
Bretons benefit from improved Intelligence scaling and unique magical properties.
  • 1.0x Intelligence Bonus
  • Resist Magicka: 50% (passive)
  • Dragonskin (Power): Spell Absorption 25%, Shield 25 pts for 60 seconds
  • Magicka Backlash (Dragonskin Power): Applies Weakness to Magicka 100% on self for 1800 seconds to balance passive resistance
Dark Elf (Dunmer)
Dark Elves now embrace their identity as “War-Wizards” with a partial Intelligence boost.
  • 0.5x Intelligence Bonus
  • Resist Fire: 75%
  • Weakness to Frost: 25%
  • Ancestor's Wrath (Power): Grants Fire Shield and Sanctuary 25 pts for 60 seconds, calls forth an ancestral spirit to assist in battle
  • Balances mechanics from Oblivion and Skyrim
High Elf (Altmer)
High Elves are now more balanced, with moderated elemental vulnerabilities and increased magical versatility.
  • 1.5x Intelligence Bonus
  • Weakness to Fire, Frost, and Shock: 25% each
  • Resist Disease: 25%
  • Resist Paralysis: 75%
  • Absorb Essence (Power): Once per day, Absorb Magicka, Restore Magicka, and Absorb Intelligence from a target
Imperial
Imperials suffer from a natural 50% Weakness to Common Disease but boast 10 Points Higher Endurance and combat effectiveness.
  • Star of the West (Power): Now also absorbs the target’s Block skill, and Absorbs More Stamina over a Period of Time
  • Voice of the Emperor (Power): Calms and charms a humanoid target
Khajiit
Khajiit now gain a +50 Fatigue bonus and benefit from unique agility-based mechanics.
  • No Fall Damage when Acrobatics reaches 100
  • Conditional Fall Immunity: While at full health, Khajiit are immune to fall damage (representing full leg strength)
  • Weakness to Poison: 25%
  • Eye of Fear (Power): Small area-of-effect fear effect
  • Eye of Night (Ability): Now includes Detect Animal in a small radius, Last Longer
Nord
Nords retain strong frost resistance but are now more vulnerable to fire.
  • Resist Frost: 75%
  • Weakness to Fire: 25%
  • Woad (Power): Grants full Frost Immunity via Frost Shield, but doubles Fire Weakness for the duration
  • Thunder Fist (Spell): Powerful Hybrid anti-mage ability dealing Frost and Shock damage, also damages Fatigue and Magicka, and Silences target for 5 seconds
Orc (Orsimer)
Orcs are naturally better suited for heavy gear.
  • Feather Effect: Automatically applied when equipping Medium or Heavy Cuirass, Greaves, or Boots
  • Resist Magicka: 25%
  • Increased Strength by 10
  • Berserk (Power): Now drains Armor Skills rather than Agility, increasing both damages dealt and received for a more balanced berserker state
Redguard
Redguards retain their renowned resistance and agility but now have a post-power penalty.
  • Resist Poison: 50%
  • Resist Disease: 25%
  • Increased Agility by 10
  • Adrenaline Rush (Power): After 60 seconds of enhanced performance, the Redguard enters a weakened recovery state
Wood Elf (Bosmer)
Wood Elves are agile and difficult to hit, with adjustments to armor usage.
  • Sanctuary: +10 pts
  • Resist Disease: 75%
  • Armor Restriction: Require additional Strength to effectively wear Medium/Heavy Armor (opposite of Orcs)
  • Beast Tongue (Power): Now has a 10-point magnitude and affects an area of effect
