Distant Horizon: A Chimeri-quey flotilla
by vaelta

---

Firstly: this is my first mod. I was inspired to make it in general because of all the really exceptional Morrowind mods that keep being released, all of which made me feel like I should try and contribute something myself to the community, but more specifically because I read "A Pearl Betwixt Empires" and found it an interesting in-game text about a culture that I wanted to know more about. So instead of waiting for somebody else to make a mod depicting a Chimeri-quey flotilla, I decided I may as well give it a go myself.

So, a few days of work (including quite a few hours puzzling over the really unintuitive dialogue/journal system), and here we are. I am pleased with it, as a first mod. It's only a modest amount of content, but I hope people enjoy it. Feedback certainly welcomed, thank you.

AND: I am very pleased it got Morrowind Mod of the Day! See the video!

What's in it?

To get to Distant Horizon you have two options. If you have a boat mod installed (I use Stormrider), you can find it by sailing due east from Dragonhead Point. Or alternatively, hitch a ride on a skiff from Vos harbour or Necrom waterfront.

Distant Horizon has several treasure hunter quests (including one which will lead you to a special prize, if you look carefully enough), and one other quest relating to two people who died recently. The quests are VERY simple, because as I have said, this is my first ever attempt at game modding!

Other than that, it's simply a mood piece really. Hopefully the environment will be interesting to explore, and the people worth talking to. And you can enjoy a game of Nine Holes while listening to the sea and the gulls.

Requirements:
OAAB Data
Tamriel Data
Tamriel Data - if you use that version

---

Installation:
Place the ESP file into the Data folder.

---

Compatibility:
Really should be compatible with everything, as it only edits some cells way to the east in the ocean, and adds a skiff to Vos harbour (compatible with OAAB Grazelands). I have done my best to ensure there are no "dirty edits".

The only potential compatibility issue might be if Dillonn241 updates Nine Holes, as I have copied the scripts from that mod into this one. If he does, I will update this mod with any new scripts.

Credits:
Dillonn241 for the excellent Nine Holes, which I have implemented here. I have spent far too much time playing Nine Holes and Thirteen Telvanni. Both really fun additions to the game.

And, of course, the creators of OAAB Data, TR Data.
