You may have noticed that over the course of 20 to 30 days, Vivec's gondolas start tipping nose-first into the water. Unless players use the "SetAtStart" command, the gondolas will eventually flip to a vertical position. Supposedly this is due to an error in the "Float" script introduced in Tribunal, which the developers tried and failed to correct in Bloodmoon. To my knowledge, the only mod to tackle this problem is Scruggs' "Gondola Fix", from the days when mods were still called "plug-ins". In my experience, "Gondola Fix" does not work consistently: for instance, the Hlaalu Canton's gondola goes stern-up, but the Arena Canton's gondola is fine. This is my first mod, and I have no illusions about succeeding where both Scruggs and the original developers failed. So I am implementing the simplest possible solution: deleting the "Float" script from ex_gondola_01, as well as a_ex_de_rowboat and a_ex_de_rowboat_colony just in case. I have not deleted the script from any other objects classed as "activators", nor from the handful of containers and lights which also have it. This makes gondolas and rowboats stationary, just like Morrowind's skiffs (which are, after all, a much lighter and shallower type of boat).I also gave ex_gondola_01 and a_ex_de_rowboat_colony visible names, since the activators a_ex_de_rowboat and a_ex_colonyboat have visible names.
