    Sticky
I will say that, with the upcoming release of Tamriel Rebuilt's next update, I'm unsure if I'll be able to update this mod. This is largely bc I relied on the interiors made by Randompal, as I am not particularly qualified to make them.

That is to say, if the next update to tamriel_data deprecates any of the items used for the interiors in this mod, its very unlikely I'll be able to fix it unless the change would be a simple one. I'm not particularly worried about this possibility for two reasons:

    1. I don't think anything the interiors use is being deprecated in the next update or, for that matter, any time soon.
    2. There's a mod to remedy this if I happen to be wrong. Check it out

So for this reason, I probably won't be updating this mod any time soon. The good news is it probably won't need to be updated - it should be fine, the scripts should work, etc. etc.

That said,if for whatever reason its the scripts that are bugging out and not the interiors being problematic, I'll see what I can do.

    Love this!
As a Telvanni myself, I made a version that allows player to open a bank account without being a member of House Hlaalu. I'm leaving a link for those who might need it.
    https://www.mediafire.com/file/e5sbp59kdb5wke8/Hlaalu_banks.rar/file

    UPD:
v1.1 - slightly altered topics: "services", "specific place" and "Hlaalu Compound". NPCs of Balmora and Vivec Hlaalu Canton will now mention nearby banks and their whereabouts in these topics.

You should share the ESP files in case someone is interested.

I use merged version so it's one esp file. And I did share the archive that has it, see the link.

Would you consider an option of paying a fee in gold to open a bank account, for players who aren't going to be Hlaalu members?

Sorry, this just uses the scripts added by Tamriel Data. Briricca Bank, another bank added by Tamriel Data, would be your go to if you want to just have a place for the affluent to store money. Rethinking Vivec and Beautiful Cities of Morrowind both add a branch to Vivec.

Very interesting looking mod!  Just a question though, is the *latest* version of Tamriel Rebuilt required for this to work, or would it work okay with TR 2201, without missing meshes/textures?

(I'm sticking with TR 2201 for the moment because I really love the Previews element, being able to wander around Almalexia, etc, otherwise I would happily update)

Anyway many thanks for any guidance ..

I somewhat doubt that it will work, for two reasons:
      1. I believe the banking framework recieved changes between versions.
      2. I am not even sure the Hlaalu Council Company bank was even implemented in that version of Tamriel Data.

It isn't particularly difficult to make your own preview with the current version, so I'd recommend doing that.

Just tried this out. Perfect for a playthrough with weighted gold. Thanks for the great mod. Though, I'm still torn between using this or Wealth Within Measure, which has been a staple in my load order forever.

    Good day, all.
Vaxinuva, thank you for the immersive mod. Finally, there is keeping less than GDP of VV in the bedroom :)
Question: Is this compatible with Wealth Within Measure? Could there be two banks at the same time?

My guess is no, since both mods edit the same interior. I don't think it'd cause a crash but it might look awkward, plus House Hlaalu having two banks is kinda weird.

You'll have to decide which variety of bank you prefer- More limited banking, that's a tad more lore friendly, or more expansive and convenient banking.

Thanks for the BCoM patch! I'd be down to help you out with some interior work if we can figure out a good location for proper interiors. The Hlaalu treasury looks like a good spot already and maybe it would be enough to expand it a bit to make more space for a proper bank vault or something like that.
The same might be true for the Hlaalu Council house. Maybe the upper floor could be turned into a bank, using this (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/50164) or bcom's interior as a base.

These are just some suggestions of course!

Hey, Randompal! Its a pleasure, honestly. BCoM is a phenomenal mod and I'm glad to make sure my work functions alongside it out the box. Balmora's Council Manor is, imo, the perfect place for a bank branch, both location-wise and because it would effectively mirror Andothren's own bank placement. My own tastes veer towards having a prospective bank given its own basement cell, with a staircase leading down to it in the manor.
But because that'd involve some weird edits to the manor's dimensions and such, as well as because Balmora itself is a somewhat more humble town, an alternative would be to have the bank and a very small vault located on the very top floor, displacing a few of the retainers there. Like so:

I don't have nearly as much of an idea of what could be done with the Hlaalu treasury branch, but I do agree that a bank branch would fit right in. If you wanted to discuss further, you can hit me up on discord (I'm Delemis in the TR server). Either way, good modding :)

Amazing mod that makes Vvardenfell and mainland more connected.

Are you planning on adding Briricca Banking Company too as a standalone mod from rethinking Vivec?

I don't have any plans to currently, for the simple reason that there isn't really a place to put a Briricca banker that I know of. Rethinking Vivec adds an entire interior for their newly added bank branch, and this mod works with interiors that are fairly logical placements, but a standalone mod for a Briricca banker isn't really something I'm capable of honestly, since I'm not really capable of making interiors.

One solution, if you know how to use tesame, would be to open up Rethinking Vivec and clean everything except the changes made to the interior of the Foreign Quarters. This would be somewhat more compatible than Rethinking Vivec itself.

Most important question, does it have a vault with loads of loot for my Khajiit thief to steal?

It's literally for orphans tho, so.

I only see a single NPC added to the treasury.

No new interiors are added- Right now, you could assume that the banker in Vivec stores your gold in the Hlaalu treasury vault. As for where the Balmora banker keeps your gold though, no clue.

One of my friends, an interior developer and fellow Tamriel Rebuilt contributor, said she'd might be interested in putting together a cell as a side project. For now, though, thieves have no new diversions. :(
